Hi - probably stupid question. But where do I find the rig list? I can see the numbers for FT-991, IC-7300 and IC-705, but I'm specifically looking for IC-9700.

The best option is to check the version that's in the current DigiPi release and look up the supported radios in the official Hamlib repository on GitHub.

You'll have to determine the version of Hamlib that's included with the version/build of DigiPi that you downloaded. Use the following command to determine the version of Hamlib:

rigctl --version

I believe you can also use:

rigctl --list

-or-

rigctl -L

I don't have a DigiPi device running right now; otherwise, I would verify it for you. That's all from memory.

For APRS I would say that the 9700 and 7300 config are the same, but for wsjtx, js8call you will need to do what Jeff said

DigiPi will display the supported rigs at  http://digipi/riglist.txt .   I added the digirig, digihat and gpio settings to the top as well...

-----

DigiRig:           use "RTS" as rig number, device file "ttyUSB0"
DigiPi Hat:        use "DTR" as rig number, device file "ttyUSB0"
USB audio dongle:  use "GPIO" as rig number to force PTT on GPIO pin 12

For other USB-connected radios select the Rig# below:

Rig #  Mfg                    Model                   Version         Status      Macro
   RTS  DigiRig                DigiRig    (ttyUSB0)
   DTR  DigiHat                DigiPi Hat (ttyUSB0)
     1  Hamlib                 Dummy                   20221128.0      Stable      RIG_MODEL_DUMMY
     2  Hamlib                 NET rigctl              20230106.0      Stable      RIG_MODEL_NETRIGCTL
     4  FLRig                  FLRig                   20221109.0      Stable      RIG_MODEL_FLRIG
     5  TRXManager             TRXManager 5.7.630+     20210613.0      Stable      RIG_MODEL_TRXMANAGER_RIG
6  Hamlib                 Dummy No VFO            20220510.0      Stable      RIG_MODEL_DUMMY_NOVFO

@Craig - the URL you provided is missing the .org - and I got a 404 on riglist.txt.

@LB3SA

I remember when I first got my IC-9700 before DigiPi had a version of Hamlib that supported it.

I changed the IC-9700's default CI-V address (A2h) to match the IC-7300's default address (94h), and it worked perfectly.

But DigiPi has support for the 9700 now - so there's no need to do that anymore.

Hi guys - "digipi/riglist.txt" refers to the list on the digipi itself  (ie, turn on your digipi, go there,
and you should see the complete hamlib list).

Glad you're up and running!
