Winlink Error

Hey All

using Ver 2.0-1 I dont seem to be able to get winlink to work, it worked fine on a previous version of digipi..

I get this error, it shows its reading my 7610 as it see's the freq the radio is on, FT8 and other modes I have tried so far work, but I just get this error all the time on winlink, below

g'day Cliff,

a couple things,

VARA isn't supported (closed source, windows only, intel only)

ARDOP is supported, but you need to turn "ON" the "ARDOP Modem" on the digipi
home page before starting Pat Email Client.  This is for HF only.

if you want to do winlink on VHF start the Linux Node AX.25 first, then select packet/ax.25
in pat.

super not straight forward right?  :)

I would suggest that VARA is well beyond the minimal CPU & RAM limits set for DigiPi. 
But I have also seen info online that people have got VARA running on a RasPi 4 under Linux with the WINE module. The "73LINUX" script by KM4ACK would be a good place to start looking. I haven't tried it myself, so good luck if you do....
