Greetings from Florida;

Will Digi Pi ever be able to connect to a VARA FM Winlink digi/RMS using Pat Email Client and send email like it can to a AX.25/Packet Winlink digi/RMS?

In the Pat Winlink Client when I connect to an AX.25/Packet Winlink digi/RMS there is a conversation box at the bottom of the page showing the dialog as RF packets go back and forth.  On my HP Chromebook the conversation box only shows about 8 lines of info.  Is there anyway to configure Digi Pi to display 16 or 20 lines of the conversation?

Many thanks,

Digi Pi is great,

Hey Rick,

No VARA/FM on DigiPi, wrong OS, wrong CPU and wrong license, unfortunately.

for email over HF, start "ARDOP" then use pat to make ARDOP winlink connections
all over the world.

I would talk to the guys at pat.io and see about the log file being so short, I think
that'd be a great configuration option.

cool,

Didn’t KM4ACK do a YouTube demoing VARA on a Raspberry Pi? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh2MCv4A-NA

It's possible if you run an x86 cpu emulator under a Microsoft Windows emulator, which
requires at least a Pi4, and even then... it's touchy.

Unfortunately it blows up our 512MB memory budget and PiZero2W enablement.

The license doesn't allow for redistribution either.

You could certainly work with the vara developer to install it however, be sure to expand
the ramdiscs on digipi in /etc/fstab during installation(s).

best,

Another option is to use Wine on Linux to run windows programs.
