I am looking to add some USB ports for GPS and connection to my IC7610, etc. and I am wondering if I can add a 4-Port Raspberry Pi USB HUB HAT for Raspberry Pi 4B/3B+/3B/2B/B+/A+/Zero/Zero W,

to my current RPI Zero 2 WH or should I upgrade the RPI to a model 4 or 5? Would I need to make changes in the DigiPi configuration files to support these new USB device connections.

That looks like it should work. I used a small 4 port USB 2.0 hub to my Pi2ZW and it also worked. Probably got lucky as other hubs didn't work though. Supplying enough power could be an issue, depending on what is plugged in.

Your solution looks a lot neater.
