So, I am a total rookie at Pi but my Digipi setup so easy. Within an hour of my AliExpress package arriving here in Norway, I had running APRS on an HT.
I have been running FLDIGI via Windows with my HF/SSB rig and my main purpose for the Digipi is to use it with the SSB. I am using a Digirig Mobile.
All is just dandy when I use FLDIGI and Windows.
Then I connected my Digipi and FLDIGI started working right away but I need some help.
I am also very new to FLDIGI. My main use is to receive RTTY weather and Weatherfaxes at sea. The weather faxes are coming in pretty good with Digipi/FLDIGI but the RTTY is a bit gibberish, probably due to way high input audio. And I am not getting Rig control I had with Windows version.
I use Hamlib and my radio is in the list, an ICOM M803.
My issue is: the audio level when using all the same Digirig Mobile, radio, frequency signal and time is wayyyy high (very RED). I cannot do much with this in the ICOM Marine SSB. Why would the same Digirig Mobile setup cause higher levels via DigiPI? AND...how can I control them in the DigiPi (in Windows you just adjust your sound levels in and out)). Can that be done in DigiPi?
And how do I get rig control? In Windows I use Hamlib and my Com Port selected in FLDIGI. In the DigiPi I was trying different sound setups including USB, default and others. With the Digirig connected to DigiPi, which sound setup should I use and how can I get myself out of the RED in FLDIGI input sound?
Thank you for everything. I love my tiny computer!
