Hoping someone has some tips or can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

After 4 attempts at re-imaging to Digipi 1.81 on my Raspberry Pi Zero 2w
I'm not seeing any way to configure or setup FLRIG for cat control/remote controlling my Xiegu g90.

FLRIG shows up on the list of options if you minimize fldigi or wsjtx but when you move the pointer over to it nothing comes up for a gui to configure

On the 4 attempts to re-image/reinitialize I always checked the box for flrig cat control but had tried different options below under the "USB-connected" radios only section.

I was a bit confused whether USB-connected meant a radio with an internal usb card such as the ft-991 or ic7300 or using a radio that doesn't have a built in usb interface but rather uses an external usb interface (mine is the DigiRig).

The first few attempts I assumed that it meant either an internal or external usb interface and entered the rig number for flrig listed as 4 under the 'rig list' and selected  ttyUSB1 under 'device file' and 19200 under 'baud rate'

On the final attempt I selected 'Enable FLRig' in the main initialization area but left all the 'USB-connected radios only' at the default settings and FLRIG still doesn't seem to show up when you minimize fldigi or wsjtx with any of those attempts.

I know that the Digirig works on my PC laptop with the g90 under wsjtx but I have to use FLRIG for cat control to get it to work.

Any ideas or suggestions?

On a side note it might be nice to create some sort of wiki or perhaps a sticky thread for setting up various radios/sound card combos with some faqs regarding digipi specific settings etc...just a thought :-)

Hi Corey,

Wow, there's a lot to unpack here.

First, I'd recommend reflashing, and do not check "flrig", avoid flrig for now.

When you click Initialize, under USB radio, type rig number 3088
I suspect the device file will be "ttyUSB0"   (or ttyACM0).  I do not know
the default baud rate for the G90.

At this point all the packet/ax25 apps are ready with your rig setup callsign, location etc.

The gui apps, wsjtx/js8call/etc have your callsign, however, you still need to open
the configuration dialag when you first run those apps and select your radio, ideally
using "hamlib" with rignumber 3088 your device file, and baud rate.

Verify the app is talking to your radio, you can receive and transmit.  Now close
the app (gracefully, file->exit).. returns you to a grey screen.

At this point go to the digipi home page, and click [save configs].. this will write
any changes you made in the apps to the SD card, so you'll be all set for next boot.

Above all, let us know how it goes.  there are other G90 users here as well.

best,
-craig
