Regarding the new Map feature...
If you resize the map, ex. zoom in, zoom out. Is it in the design to not update the map.

I have to refresh the map to get updates again.  This zooms to the preset Default Map Zoom setting (1-18).

Hi Bill,

That behavior is unintended.

The map feature downloads map tiles in real time from Open Street Maps, so
Internet connection is required to get new maps.  There is a small 5Meg cache
that will persist if you press [save configuration] after loading a map zoom and
area of interest.

if it helps,

Craig,

I switched on didipi again and the maps do update, no matter what I do with the zoom or drag of the map.

I don't know why it wasn't updating with new live packet information before.

I do like all the new features of beta3.  It's amazing how you squeeze all this into 485Mb of memory.

I have to press "shift reload" sometimes to get a browser to stop
caching certain files, scripts, etc.  It forces a full re-download
of a page.

I'm unable to replicate the map issue here, but I suspect it's
related to Internet connectivity which is required to see the
openstreetmap overlay.  the radio/icons/telemetry data should
update no matter what.

if it helps,
-craig
