How can I access it from my lan?
Sorry I'm confusing... my age maybe!

IMG_0611.jpegThe Raspi Zero 2 does not have a wired network interface, so you need it to connect to your WiFi network.

The Wifi router of your home network usually has LAN connectors for wired network access. From any device that is connected to your network via LAN cable you can access the DigiPi via its network address that is shown on its display (see attached photo), or via its node name of „digipi“ or „digipi.local“.

If the address shown on the DigiPi display is „10.0.0.5“ that means that the DigiPi was not able to connect to your Wifi network. In this case the DigiPi creates its own Wifi hotspot, which only can be accessed via Wifi (This is an option for field usage without a home Wifi network available).

Good luck, 73

I like that case for your digipi.   Is that available to download?

Thanks

Shannon

That's right, it first boots as a hotstpot, look for "DigiPi" hotspot on your phone,
connect to it with password "abcdefghij", and then visit http://10.0.0.5/  Click "Wifi"
and enter your home wifi name and password.  This is outlined at https://digipi.org/

... and yes, where did you get that case?  i like it!

The case is my current work in progress. Still fighting to get it as small as possible.

When it's done, I will put the model files to thingiverse, will keep this group informed...

Regarding the case, would you like it this way? This will be my final version; going to Thingiverse in the next few days, as my time allows. 73 de DL2PLE

Love the case! But how did you flip the screen? Mine reads horizontally.

And what are the two buttons for anyway?

Jack,
to rotate the screen you need to modify the following files with the nano editor:

~/digibanner.py
~/direwatch.py

look for the lines „rotation=<angle>“ and set angle to 270: —> „rotation=270“

don’t forget to „sudo remount“ before making permanent changes.

The buttons are - as far as I know from trying them out - shortcuts to certain functions. See ~/digibuttons.py
