Fresh install of 2.2-1.  APRS Digipeater and APRS WebChat started.  Pi zero 2 w, AIOC with stock cable ferrites on both ends, Quansheng UVK5.  Also using Retevis HA2 to send a message that is received by WebChat as you can see in the screenshot and log file.  I am unable to send a response to the HA2.  Messages via RF out from the DigiPi do not work. What can I do?

Hi John,

KE2CNN-7 never sends an ACK to your OK message (#7141)

you should expect to see ":ack7141"  from KE2CNN-7 and you don't.

so that station never receives your "ok" packet or is unwilling or
unable to acknowledge it.

audio levels look great.

cool,

I see the HA2 radio in the log KE2CNN-7 sending the data but it doesn't show in the WebChat.  I now see a Digipeater: Drop redundant packet to Channel 0.

Thanks.  I understand what is supposed to happen but not sure how to make it work.

I just realized I did not set audio after fresh install.  Just set 62 for L/R and my audio receive is showing 36-55 range.  Trying again.

Audio is not the issue.  I suspect the digipeaters/igates that are responding to my REPEAT n 2 TX are not transmitting RF and are only sending via internet.  And APRS WebChat does not decode and present those in the app.

Does that sound like what happening?  I see the two repeaters listed in ig/tx logs so I know the requests are getting heard, just not responding via RF is my suspicion.

How do I identify if local igates transmit RF as well as Internet traffic?

Learning more each day.  Thanks to the community!
