I have the released 2.1-1 RC2 installed

It was initialized  with my home GPS location and it has a working GPS (see tab GPS)

When I selected MPS it did show north georgia but nothing like my home location or based on my GPS location

I would think when a MAP is loaded it would be centered over my known GPS location or if GPS not working then based on the initialization position

I am not able to paste the display.

I have reloaded the Digipi SW
2.1-1RC2 KM6LYW ©2026

I am told that when I start the PI / Digipi with GPS receiver that I need to let the unit boot and find GPS. THEN open maps and I should see my GPS position on the map.

That is NOT the case here I am located but I should be near W4BOC. I am KJ4ZZB-2

OK I can't paste an image

so according to map I am at    33.182825, -84.268206

According to GPS (from the attached receiver and accessed via the UI)  I am at  Lat  33.83202167 N  ,  Longitude         84.26819350 W

So what should I do to fix this?

I am hearing packets and apparently I gating  (Need to raise my volume a bit)

The mapping feature should center you on the first contact, if you're the first
contact, you can click on it and [set as my position].  I agree it's awkward until
the mapping feature locks in on your region.

Maps will use your gps position (when locked) as your beacon location, that's
the real design effort - falls back to your Initialize location if needed.
