What can this error be a result of and is it something I need to fix?

What type of station is WA1PB-7?  DigiPi doesn't use a -7 SSID for anything.

the third route doesn't have a callsign (I added the question marks below),
if it's direwolf, the digipeat line is misconfigured.

Ok, WA1PB-7 is my Anytone 878uv II plus that I sent the sms message from. So it must be a configuration issue with my HT.

I was trying to send messages back and forth between webchat on my digipi and my Anytone HT.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Ideally, if you're in a populated area the digipath on your anytone should be "WIDE1-1"
possibly "WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1", if you need more reliability.  it dictates the number
of repeats your packet gets before it dies.
