I am having issues with connecting my IC-7300 to my digipi to use for PAT winlink. Every time I turn on PAT winlink it keys the radio. I set up the digipi to the baud rate of 19200 on setup. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi M,

Are you using a usb cable between the Pi and icom?  (not a digirig?)

Did you select [usb connected radio] on the Initialize page, entering
the rig number of 3073 and ttyUSB0 for the serial port?  My ic705
is set for 115200 baud rate (we should really just use the maximum baud on
all rigs as that's the hamlib default).

It feels like /etc/systemd/system/rigctld.service is asserting an RTS
signal as it opens the serial port and something on the usb cable
treats that like PTT.

... and let us know, thanks,
-craig

It is connected with a USB cable.
The rig number I used was 3073 and ttyUSB0 for the port.
I will reflash the card and change it to the max baud rate.

It seems to do it when the AX.25 node network gets turned on. I redid the sd card at set the baud rate at 115200. Should I change out the USB cable with a different one?

If you see the ic7300 in the SysInfo link, you're usb cable is good.

I would Initialize with 19200 baud and also make sure the radio is set
to 19200 or auto.

Additionally depending on your firmware version, you may need
to toggle "CI-VUSB Echo Back"

setup->connections->CI-V->CI-V USB Echo Back

In my case, it's set to "Off"

if it helps,

Craig,
The only thing that I could get to work on the 7300 was ft8. When I attempted to connect with ARDOP it would keep triggering the radio to transmit.
If I send you a copy of the syslog do you think you would be able to and willing to assist me? I am trying to get this working before our SET on the 2nd.

Yah, shoot me the syslog if you can, also

run "cat /etc/systemd/system/rigctld.service"

that determines how ardop talks to your rig (and sstv)

cool,

Craig,
I redid my sd card and now it seems to be working. I don't know what I changed but I just was able to use PAT winlink. I was able to connect to a station and everything.
I am sorry for using your time for nothing.
Thank you for willing to take the time to look at my problem.
