Hello Craig
Having working in the SW and IT industries for 45 years I know this can be rewarding, fun and a good advertisement for lead poiseing. There was a Mad Magazine pull out medical page for one dose all issues cure when I was a kid. It came in three doses 0.22, 0.38 and 0.45.
Lead Poisoning.
The famous MAD Magazine pharmaceutical pullout satire from 1970 (Issue #134, cover date April 1970) features a mock ad. It hilariously lists a "45-caliber dose" of medicine as a sarcastic, heavy-handed solution to everyday annoyances, acting as a metaphor for the absurdity of mainstream drug advertising. [

Yeah I am old.
So some takeaways
With the latest release initialize first before using GPS.
I was using Raspberry Pi Imager on a MAC to load the 2.1-1 RC2 IMG file on a 8 GB SD card. Perhaps there is some overhead?
If Maps is to use my GPS location then what should I expect to see? I assume my location on teh center of teh map.
I will look at this again with a fresh build.
I need to look more carefully at the BT function. It is fuzzy to me what I am to do with this. I assume it is to connect a browser to a Digpi without needed Wi Fi. Given that nearer I nor my peer J Penland can get digipi to tether to a wi fi hotspot of a I phone this may be a better approach. (SSID “scott" Pass “abcdefghji”) no special characters. I
While this is approaching a laptop we would like to use a capacitive touch display to operate DigiPI where a browser is not handy. I can see using DP for SMS messages etc when remotely deployed as a stand along digipeter (No IP or Cell Access)
I have spent a lot of time in AT&T first net disaster locations where RF and Satellite is it for a few days till other resources arrive. So I could see a RF APRS / APRS SMS, AX 25 relay from Radio Source 1 to digipeater 1 to digipeater 2 to I gate.
Retired for 1 year from AT&T.
