Good evening
I'm about to change the hydraulic fluid on my Benford mantis me130 but am not sure if the system is under pressure when switched off. Having read a bit about this on Google I know that some systems remain under pressure at all times. If it is under pressure I believe I will need to somehow reduce pressure at the pump. I would welcome any advice please as I won't be touching it until I'm sure.
Thanks in anticipation.
Paul

Do you have a drain point in the tank? There is no pressure at the tank, also a digger of this age should have no pressure in the system once engine is shut off and arms relaxed on the ground.

Hi, if you have the bucket on the ground and move all of the controls to let the machine settle (with the engine off) there should be no pressure in the lines, for changing the oil. The easiest way is to use a suction pump oil extractor and pump it out of the tank, clean filters then replace. Tank has no pressure as mentioned above, the tank also has a drain bolt if you don’t have a suction pump. Hope this helps
