Does anyone have any info on the track drive motors for a Powerfab 1200xd?

I fixed most of my problems with the crawlers (the keys between the sprockets and the motor shafts had sheared) but I noticed the RH motor is still a bit 'lazy' and it leaks a good squirt of hydraulic oil from the output shaft occasionally, on the first application of pressure. The leak always seems to seal itself really quickly then doesn't reoccur for a while.

Anyone happen to have any experience of the innards of these, a .pdf, or even a good motor they'd be willing to sell?

Brill thanks for that Duncan. My sprockets are actually ok, it was just the keys that had sheared, managed to grind up some new ones out of bar. For some reason I don't have the same type of main fixing bolt as in your pic, in the centre of the sprockets - mine's just normal M16 hex head bolts.

I do seem to have a problem with the sprockets not staying tight and those main M16 bolts coming loose. Also tracks coming off seemingly at random. I thought I'd fixed it when I discovered and repaired the broken sprocket keys but they still came loose after a short time. However I then discovered the idler bearings at the front, were totally shot with most of the taper rollers missing from the cages. I'm wondering if the idlers have been jamming up & causing most of my crawler problems! They rock about an inch side to side!

Turns out the bearings are 30205 taper rollers, cost me less than £15 for a full set of 4, local garage has a press so hopefully be able to get everything reassembled and recheck it soon.

Still getting the odd big spurt of oil from the rh motor though, must be something not good inside there.

my  ones had rubber seals and Nylos seals fitted on the shaft and go with a good bearing brand  go cheap if you want but you will need to change them  regular

Afraid to say having already bought cheap bearings I've stuck with them.. they seem ok, guess time will tell.. I've not used Nylos brand side plates but managed to find a good assortment of rubber spring & shim washers that make up a nicely sitting, free moving imitation that should keep the grease in and the play down for a while. One idler wheel was destroyed in the bore, the last bearing shed its rollers into the space outside the outer shell and splodged everything into a hamfisted mess. Building it back up with weld at the mo then spinning the bore back in lathe. All a bit tenuous but hoping it might get me a few months worth of good digging!
