Hi,

I have owned this Powerfab 1250X digger / excavator for over 3 years now, to do a extension and some landscaping at home, this is now complete. I did intend in keeping the machine, for doing any odd jobs etc as it is a good solid honest machine, but now i am considering selling it.

When I purchased it, the previous owner had installed a new honda engine which had done just 20 hours work when i bought it.

It is an ex norweb digger and believe it to be a 1992 model purchased new by norweb.

It is electric start honda 13hp petrol engine with a recoil pull start as well. Starts first time everytime and runs well. very economical on fuel, a tank (approx 4 litres) would easily last 5 hours work. I had the engine serviced last year.

I put a new battery on it last year, it is fine and holds it charge well over time even in the recent sub zero temperatures we have had over the past winters. It has never needed a booster / top up charge.

It has 3 buckets, offset boom and can be piped for a PTO if required (this was removed by the previous owner, I do have the PTO block along with 3 brand new spare hoses)

360 degree slew and dozer blade, tracks are fine. I thought there was a problem earlier this year as they were slipping, but when I had a plant mechanic look at it, the tracks just needed tightening up! which he did, you only need a 36mm spanner or a suitable sized wrench.

all the seals are fine on the rams and leak free, there is a small leak that has been there since I bought it, coming from the central controls. The mechanic at the time looked into it and said it would just need stripping down and some new rubber o rings fitting, which i have never got round to doing as the leak does not bother me for what i used the digger for. It is original and never been painted, again it was something I was considering doing, but its clean enough as it is and after all its for digging and leveling ground, not for looking nice & shiny.
The 2 hand control levers do have play in them, it does not stop it from working, and again if I was to keep it i would consider getting a couple of new bushes made by a local enginners workshop, very easy to get to.
the pins in the arms are a little worn, but i would say this is not too bad considering the age of the machine, it does not effect the operation at all, you would hardly notice when using it.

The recent 2 bad winters we have had, the digger started first time with ease, even though it was burried, and was great at clearing the snow and ice from the property.

It is 1000mm wide outside of track to outside of track.

I do not have a trailer for it. but i do have access to a plant trailer.

I have quite a few brochures and manuals and a service DVD for the digger, but with building the extension, i am unsure were they are as a lot of contents are stored in boxes here ther and everywere.

I am looking for £2750 for the machine, I intend to advertise it locally, in autotrader and ebay, I am not in any rush to sell, and as i enjoy reading the posts on this great site, thought i would see if there is any interest from any fellow home improvers / self builders / DIY'ers.

I have been as honest as i can with the description. I would rather it go to a good home than just sit there for the odd job that needs doing.

The digger is located in Southport.

I also have a Honda "wacker" which I bought brand new, its done no more than 10 hours work over the 3 years I have owned it, serviced this year by honda agent still looks new. & a bosch GSH 27 breaker 110V, if its of interest to anyone.

If its something you are interested in let me know.

Thanks for reading

Peter.

Hi Mike,

There is no trailer for the digger.

I do have access to a friends one if he is not using it or one can be hired to move it.

On the brochure it states-
Mass operating weight 0.92 tonne
Digging force 1.2 ton.

I hope this helps.

I may be able to deliver, if it is something you want.

Peter.

Hi,
On the brochure it says mass operating weight 0.92 tonne and digging force 1.2 ton.

No trailer sorry. My trailer is too small, I do have use of trailer if need be to move it, or one could be hired locally if its not available.

Thanks
Peter
