We are pleased to invite you to a special lecture and interaction session by Prof. Arogyaswami J. Paulraj on the theme: “India’s Fabless Incentive Schemes: Success Factors and Pathways for Scale” 

Prof. Arogyaswami J. Paulraj is an internationally renowned technologist, academic, and entrepreneur, best known as a pioneer of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) wireless technology, which today forms the backbone of modern wireless communication standards including 4G and 5G. He is the Donald W. Whittier Professor Emeritus at Stanford University and the founder of Iospan Wireless and Greenvision Technologies, both successful fabless semiconductor ventures. He has also played an active advisory role to the Government of India, including advising the Union Government on the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme and broader aspects of India’s semiconductor and electronics design ecosystem. 

Prof. Paulraj is a recipient of several of the highest honors in engineering and innovation, including the Marconi Prize, the IEEE Alexander Graham Bell Medal, and membership in the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. With decades of experience spanning deep technology research, startup creation, and policy engagement, he brings a rare and valuable perspective to India’s evolving semiconductor and fabless ecosystem.

In this session, Prof. Paulraj will share his insights on:

1.    India’s current fabless semiconductor incentive frameworks

2.    Critical success factors for Indian startups and innovators

3.    Policy and ecosystem-level improvements required to drive scale and competitiveness
