Indeed, much of the inspiration from the two albums come from a novel I have been writing. I have to admit that there is a folk music feel to some of these tracks - more so than on earlier albums - and this was the intention. There's more vocal work on it too with Rachel, my wife, providing the talents for the sung pieces.

Each track, as if often the case with my material, doesn't stick to one 'tune' as such but moves between one theme and another often connected only by the instrumentation or the underlying chord progressions. I think you can lay the blame for this squarely at the feet of Mike Oldfield. His various more lengthy instrumental works have inspired me over the years to produce similarly long but ever changing pieces of music. The key works of this ilk for me being Ommadawn, Taurus II, Tubular Bells, Amarok and Music of the Spheres. $(".tralbum-about").last().bcTruncate(TruncateProfile.get("tralbum_about"), "more", "less"); credits released March 20, 2011
