Dear all,

we are having problems trying to convert our diffusion DICOMs collected on a Philips Ingenia scanner (using the provided diffusion sequence) to Nifti format using Dcm2Nii.
While reconstruction of the 3-D volume appears to be working without problems, no BVAL/BVEC files are created. A previous post recommended manual extraction of this information from the DICOM headers using  pydicom (https://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2886&forum_id=2), but then we are not sure how to map these files to the images reconstructed by dcm2Nii.
Has anyone had a similar problem or has actually found a workaround for Philips Ingenia diffusion DICOMs? Any hints would be highly appreciated.

Best,
Michel

Hi Michel,

You may try using DSI Studio (dsi-studio.labsolver.org/) to load
the DICOM, and convert it to 4D NIFTI. I have used it with Philips
data before and it worked.

Best regards,
Frank
