I recently purchased Shreddage Serpent which requires kontakt player, but no matter how many times I reinstall it to different places and change the renoise VST directories I have not been successful. I also have AIR hybrid 3 which was working fine before I reinstalled renoise. now, Renoise cannot find that either.
as a side note or extra renoise specific addendum to classic tracker usage: the phrases let u write, access and use a diff lpb from the main sequencer. is personally my fav way. also, you can reuse that fill u stored in there in alot of ways.
One question - how can i change chord root pitch? I think it is possible to use global oct setting in renoise, but it is not comfortable for me because i use midi keyboard to enter notes and this setting also affects it.
The only downside in renoise midi routing system is that a midi plugin can only control one instrument .
Architect can control as many instruments as you like , but not in renoise , I have to load a new instance if I want to control a new instrument

Hey, I've created a thread on the renoise forum to ask for a feature that would help a lot in interfacing with tidal. Basically, the idea is to add a OSC endpoint that allows to send a note event containing the note's duration.
I love renoise it's great it is easy to use and customization you can script within it and the automation is very good. the reverb is excellent with renoise you are right into the detail it's fast and great for sample mangling.
I have used Studio One, Ableton Live, Tracktion and all had their quirks. I demoed renoise and got used to its vertical spreadsheet in a few day's and starting to apreciate the workflow more and more.
Since renaming the source tar via source=("myfile.tar.gz"::"file://myfile-x86_64.tar.gz") apparently does not work (not sure if it's a makepkg bug) for local files via file:// I added this workaround by mapping $CARCH to the correct string used by renoise so that cd'ing into the right directory is possible.Also note that the prepare() function is not necessary anymore.
