Hi Guys,

I'd like to move the diem-project website to a new and better server.  Although it is possible to move the Redmine and Jenkins installations as well, I'd rather not.

Not only is Redmine a pain to setup (ruby, passenger), the platform is also barely used anymore, the last post dates from a year ago.  The same applies to Jenkins: as diem itself is no longer actively extended, the tests are either still good or outdated / missing and provide no real benefit anymore.

I'd like to hear from you guys how you feel about all this.

Kind regards,

Erik aka 4levels

Hi Erik,

Sad, isn't? :( diem-project.org needs to be alive at least for the documentation purpose.

For other thingies - do believe U R right.

Thanks, and do what you think is right.

Best,
TheCelavi

I think I can provide long term hosting for Diem-project Redmine instance.
We use Redmine in our organisation (Polibuda.info - student organisation using Diem to run its website http:///polibuda.info/) as well so it's no big deal to host another instance.
We do not use Jenkins so I can't offer help in that matter.

Hi Jarek,

that would be nice to have the redmine moved to your server.  Can you get in touch with the particulars how to transfer the data and which ip I can use to point the dns to?

Kind regards and thanks for the proposal!

Erik

Hi Erik,

It would be great to have Diems project website up and running; a better
server sounds good to me.

I just want to let you know that i'm still using Diem quiet a lot.
No better and customizable CMF found until now.

Maybe https://travis-ci.org/ can used instead of Jenkins?

Hi Richard,

I also use Diem on a daily, if not hourly basis ;-) and I'm very happy with what it does and how it has enabled me to rapidly develop small and large projects.
I am in need however to reorganize my servers, hence this message and a call for a solution for the redmine installation.

Jarek has offered me a valid solution for the redmine installation and I'll be doing the necessary as soon as possible to have the community hosted at his server.
Regarding Jenkins: I might still need a Jenkins / Hudson instance myself so I'll look into it in setting things up for Jenkins on the new server.

Kind regards!

Erik
