Hello community

I'm going to migrate one of my projects from symfony1.4 to diem5.4 and
sponsors of project wants to see some examples of successfully working
large major projects based on diem. I believe there are members of
community, who wrote such projects themself or can just provide some
provelinks to large working projects on diem.

The second important question for core developers: "How long are you
planing to support current version of Diem for symfony 1.4 ?"

The fird question: "When are you planing to start and finish Diem7
development for SF2?" I've saw google-document with brief for that
version of Diem and even contribute some ideas, but still wondering
when development will be started...

Thank you

I can give examples of small sites and a large one which looks crap. The other large project I've done isnt work safe.

Symfony 1.4 will be supported for at least the next year. Symfony 2 support Has not yet been started.

Hi Maxim,

these 2 recent websites are our latest large-volume projects done with Diem:
Both projects however have more pages and interfaces for registered users only..  They have large media collections (+2k media records), +500 pages and +300 active users.

The Diem website itself is also a good example of a high volume website...
Other average used websites are http://www.promotor.be and http://www.pb-messingmodelbouw.be

Kind regards,

Erik

Thank you for your feedback. And is there any high-load projects based
on diem? dmChessPlugin demo website as I remember had a lot of active
user online, but it's not working anymore.

Who exactly wil develop Diem7: community volunteers or official
developers group?
Did Thibault leave the Diem project or he is still leading it's
philosophy and architecture?

For Diem 7 it is required to have a dedicated leader, or maybe an even
a company behind it.

The leader should receive donations - the community should support
that.

I think that those are the good foundation for project to be
succesfull.

Hi all,

I believe the symfony2 CMF cmf.symfony.com is a the starting point for the next generation of Diem.  As the support for symfony1.4 is being fased out and the most respectfull developers are joining forces in this new project, I think rebuilding Diem with symfony2 without this CMF is pointless.

I'm still using Diem for all my projects and I love it a lot, but I realize that this CMF is the next step for a high quality framework.

I'm passively following the progress in the CMF project and it really starts to look great.

Just my 2 cents ;-)
