Having problems with the mini universal apps for the newest Sony tv series. (AG9)
When i choose a mini driver, the tv switches to the selected source (eg. netflix/amazon video) but the remote is ignoring any further input. Volume control is still working on the tv, but it seams that the driver did not understand that he still needs to control the sony tv as endpoint in the mini driver mode.
I need to switch back to the "sony tv" as source and the remote is working again.
i can debug the driver but the keypress is not visible in the log.
is there anyway to tell the minidriver that he needs so use the tv as a endpoint for the remote controls?
The Sony Blu-ray Player - Free driver worked great. That driver was running the Sony I replaced. I just swapped out the players, changed the MAC address reservation in the router and everything worked perfect. No driver changes needed.
I have the x800 controlled by IP and it constantly stops working. I can get it to work again by power cycling the x800 player and then works for that movie session. But usually the next day it stops again.
Same issue here. The free Sony IP driver is working sporadically since OS3.
I also want to upgrade to a 4K player and was thinking of the UBP-X500.
Anybody know of an alternative with Control4 IP driver?
Hi,
I have downloaded the A1 1.2 Firmware update to my brand new MacBook Pro but when I Start the update a popup from "SystemSoftwareUpdater" comes up and says "You need to install Sony Camera Driver. Sony Camera Driver" then bunch of Chinese symbols.
I don't see a driver anywhere online that's generic. In the Sony A1 folder I downloaded a few other things but the popup continues to show up. Does anyone know how I can update the drivers on my camera?
Thanks!
John
I want to use my Xperia S for debugging, so I followed the OEM USB Drivers instructions step by step but still not work, I didn't find "Android Composite ADB Interface" to update driver as it explained. and when I call adb devices my device didn't appear in the list.
Settings / Xperia / USB Connectivity / USB Connection Mode and select MASS Storage, not MTP. I did uncheck Install PC Companion. It work right away. No need to Update drivers, no need to change the android_winusb.inf. You may need to kill adb.exe before trying again adb devices.
The solution was to update the drivers using PC Companion. Before that I tested the following things:1)I have the system running on Windows 8 and the problem has nothing to do with Mass Storage or MTP mode.
2) After the update of the device software, PC companion showed the device is up to date. I did not completely update the device where PC Companion asked for the upgrade and phone contacts have to be backed up.
So not sure what that original microUSB cable is for (I bought my Xperia U as a second hand stuff, so not sure if in original package there are more micro USB cables), but for me it worked just for charging of the phone, no file transfer.
Connect to PC > Pull down notifications menu > Click Touch for other USB options > Choose Built-in CD-ROM > The device opens on windows > Go to F:\USB Reference Manual\EN\ADB_Reference_Manual.txt and follow the instructions.
Setting the USB mode isn't good enough. USB debugging must be enabled to allow adb to connect to the phone. This probably states the obvious but for me it took a while reading through these comments and wondering why adb doesn't connect. make sure your developer mode is active on the phone and "Developer Options" -> "USB debugging" is enabled.
Windows:Now at least I found it on device manager listed under "Other devices" - for my Xperia Tablet Z it was SGP311 of course. Just unplug and plug back in, if you are not sure, which device it is. Go back to the sony drivers page:
Now right click on the device in device manager and select "update drivers". Select drivers from local storage (automatic update was not working for me!)Now give the folder, you just extracted/unzipped.
Now it worked for me and the device is no longer listed under "other devices". Make sure to authorize your computer for debugging on the sony device.Just unlock the Sony Xperia and you will have to accept the prompt to pair with the computer.
We would also need to know the exact model numbers of the wired and wireless cards in order to verify the right drivers for them. If you don't know them, then you could use a free system information utility such as Everest Home or Belarc Advisor.
There are no memory card drivers for Windows 7, so I would try reinstalling the Original Windows Vista drivers. You will find them under 'Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities' on the support pages for your Vaio here: -
Most Sony laptops use Alps touchpads. This is a link to a WIN7 64 bit driver package ALPS Windows 7 x64 You should be able to find an x86 driver with a bit of digging at Sony Support as mentioned by @slhck
Sometimes you have driver but it's not work for various issues. In my case i don't know why touch panel did stop to response on some actions like scrolling page when touching corners. I searched and finally this simple guide movie helped me. you just need to get default setup settings if you have same trouble. this video must be help. =wkgBSL6Z4BUGood Luck.
Sony Driver Downloads for all Sony Devices running Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP. It is recommended you update your Sony Drivers regularly in order to avoid conflicts. Driver updates will resolve any Driver conflict issues with all devices and improve the performance of your PC.
To fix your Drivers problems you will need to know the particular model of the Sony device you are having problems with. Once you have the details you can search the Sony website for your drivers and, if available, download and install these drivers.
If you are unsure of whether or not you need to update your Drivers, or indeed which Drivers may need to be updated, you can run a Drivers scan using a driver update tool (you will need to pay to register this tool but usually the Drivers scan is free). This will allow you to assess your Driver needs without any commitment. Alternatively, you can use the device manager to check if there are problems with any of your hardware devices.
In many cases the answer to this is yes, however in some cases the manufacturers no longer make the Drivers available so you need to use a Driver Update Tool to install the missing Drivers. The purpose of such as tool is to save you time and effort by automatically downloading and updating the Drivers for you.
This Camera Driver software is for using the camera with computers that use macOS 11, 12, 13, or 14 and only applies to camera updates linked to this page. This driver is not supported by any camera update that does not have a link to this page.
I have a Sony WH-XB910N which use to work well with Microsoft Teams untill sometime back. But from past week or so, I have started facing an issue. I am not able to hear the other person talk but the other person can hear me. I tested with the Teams test call and everything seems to be working fine where I can hear the simulated call and the recorded message. It is only during a real call; I cannot hear the other party.
Check the audio settings in Microsoft Teams: a. Click on your profile picture in Teams and select "Settings." b. In the "Devices" tab, ensure that your Sony WH-XB910N headphones are selected as the audio device for both the "Speaker" and "Microphone" options. c. Test your audio settings by clicking on the "Make a test call" button and follow the prompts.
Check the sound settings in Windows: a. Right-click on the volume icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings." b. Under "Choose your output device," ensure that your Sony WH-XB910N headphones are selected. c. Click on "Device properties" and ensure that the volume levels are set appropriately. d. Click on "Additional device properties" and ensure that the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" option is checked.
Update the audio driver for your Sony WH-XB910N headphones: a. Go to the Sony website and check for any available driver updates for your headphones. b. Download and install the latest driver for your headphones.
