Half-yearly education report/ other work done in the past month.....

Dear 'Die Hard Indian',

1. Here is our half-yearly report. We were able to help 321 children
(mostly from our Sion-Matunga-Dadar-Wadala schools). A big thank you,
to our donors who made this possible.

2. Co-ordinated successfully with BMC, to get area under Sion circle
flyover transferred from MSRDC. We are trying to get this space to be
used for pay and park (night time for taxis).

3. Successfully got BMC to sponsor security guard for Dalvi maidan
(ground near Sion BEST depot), thanks to the efforts of:

* Ushakant Shah * Bhise ji * Dere madam (BMC)

4. Other works in progress:
- Maheshwari Udyan beautification almost done (some of our suggestions
taken, some not!)
- Complete re-surfacing of road from Sion post office to Jain temple
(Rd 25) and updating its underlying sewer lines. Work expected to
start before November 2011.
- Mahanagar Gas connection for certain streets of Brahmanwada, Matunga

5. Election Commission of India is enrolling new voters (Form 6) and
issuing Photo ID's to exisiting voters (Form 8) from 1st to 31st
OCTOBER 2011, at your respective voting booths. The main centres are:

- BMC school, Behind Talwalkar gym, Wadala (for Matunga-Dadar-Wadala

- BMC school, Behind Cinemax Sion (for Sion-Koliwada residents)

For new voter registration, please submit attested true copies of age;
address and photo proof. Please also carry copy of a voting slip of
your family member or a neighbour.
