A 8 year old Shankara who wrote several works on Advaita when asked by his would be Guru who are you ?
He replies in 6 verses and this is the 4 th verse translation:

Neither am I bound by death and its fear, nor by the rules of caste and its distinctions,
Neither do I have father and mother, nor do I have birth,
Neither do I have relations nor friends, neither spiritual teacher nor disciple,
I am Shiva, the supreme auspiciousness of the nature of consciousness-bliss.
I am (Shiva) the auspiciousness.

Shiva stands for the formless energy force that is present in all of the manifest universe which is the same as that in the unmanifest.

Thanks for reading I know some don’t like Vedanta 😁

Sometimes I think the younger (less conditioned) we are
the more enlightened we are....

Rani, Andy, and Jeffrey,

I'm glad you guys took the time to watch the video by Thich Nhat Hanh. As the days go by, the longer I look at all this inner exploration, the more I resonate with how the Buddhists articulate things.

Thank you, Paul.

Such a wonderful pointing by Thich Nhat Hanh.

Rani:  Who are these people who don't like Vedanta?  Isn't all of this just fingers of different kinds pointing us to that which cannot be conceptualized?

Maybe this doesn't resonate with most folks here, but if anyone is like me, I watched the video and my brain said, "He's not wrong" and there was a small moment of existential peace that death is not an end, it is just a changing of form.  But it didn't last long, because I think he also points us to look at this awareness that is infused with everything, at least that is how it hit me.

What arose shortly after that thought was a sharp, "Wait then what the heck is this?  Who am I really??"

Encouraging anyone else who might be at a similar point in the path to not just be satisfied with that warm and fuzzy knowledge of transitioning forms, but maybe there's an entry point for you, too, to dig in deeper to really plumb the depths of self to see what's there.  I know for me there's a deep conviction, since this personhood I seem claim is merely a manifestation of all of these forces that Thich Nhat Hanh speaks off about the paper, are not our personalities all just products of a lifetime of interactions (seen and unseen)?

Hopefully this makes some sense, as I feel like I am babbling in written form.

Maybe just a simple encouraging to my friends here will do... "Look for yourself, go see what you find!!" ❤️

With Love,
Rob M.

Here is something I felt and penned long time ago. I put it through Chat GPT and it made it so much better but I stuck to what came up at that time.
When the subtle thought is of no matter,
The world and its creation is of no matter!
In silence with no chatter,
There is no hither or thither
Nothing to gather or  to tether
In Choice less awareness
The atman resplendent
Remains independent
Of all creation ?
Nay all creation is within
The world is projected from My being
Like the solar flare from the sun
And watching the flurry and fun
Of superimposed creation
Undisturbed by the hurry and the blurry
Of the world created
Remain steady , ever seeing
Basking in awareness
Of the One Consciousness
In Equanimity, ever content.
Sathchithananda
Sadanadaroopa Shivoham Shivoham.
