When you participate in physical activity through the Square Mile Club, you're helping to support these charitable causes. Every step you make is having an impact on the world. Further to the US$390,000 donated across the 14 race cities, an additional US$350,000 is split across our three Bloomberg Square Mile Club Partners.
Every participant in the race will be able to make an impact through our community program, The Extra Mile. The Extra Mile addresses unique social challenges in communities where we live and work, through three philanthropy pillars: Education, Public Health and Social Justice & Equality.
Every mile run will contribute towards raising a USD$30,000 donation by the end of the event, which will help 9/11 Memorial & Museum to deliver educational opportunities through their annual 5km walk/run and year round programming, preserving its significance as a sacred place of remembrance, reflection and learning for a new generation. An opportunity that will only continue to grow in importance as more and more Americans and people around the world grow up without 9/11 as a lived experience, but rather as history learned.
We also encourage all participants to Go The Extra Mile beyond their participation, and register for our free-to-access Square Mile Club, where every point earned through your activity will further contribute to making a lasting and tangible impact at a global level.

If you already have a status and have extended it, you will receive your new card with the extended validity shortly before your current card expires. Please note that, in the case of an extension, a new card is not issued immediately after you have exceeded the mileage threshold.
Tip: No matter whether you have achieved or extended a status, or whether your long-term status membership has given you a Status Star, your status card is available to you at any time in the Miles & More app.

I thought it would be great to save DIRECTIONS. But, after umteen tries, I came to realize that all you are saving is a MAP. Useful, but the author of this and every other instruction I read on saving a google map fails to make that distinction CLEAR.
Hey Lucky, I recommend maps.me because there are so many small dirt roads and things that maps.me actually covers and google maps does not. And it's all offline all the time you download whatever maps you need. Hope this helps!
I often will get a local SIM with limited data for texting/restaurant lookups, etc. Disappointed that I could not choose to use offline mode in Google Maps. I had to put my phone in airplane mode to force it, potentially missing communications from travel partners.
