Ive had the same message for a few days now and phone keeps crashing. Facebook doesn't load unless I clear cache and data each time so I have deleted that app for now. I first noticed a problem when my battery was going down when not in use and battery usage said Android OS was using 50% of battery. Have tried uninstalling apps to free up space but not sure what else to try.

make sure that none of the sony android framework system apps aren't restricted to background data use, because home, crash monitor, device usage, backlight, system tips, and what's new, diagnostics and support are all linked. what's new is ok to restrict data, but make sure it's not disabled at boot.

Hi everybody, I've just got my arduino and I'm trying to interface it with a lcd screen from a dead sony ericsson t230 , but since I don't have any experience I'm stuck.

Here are my main points of concern on which i need help:

Second, it uses a controller which isn't supported by the lcd library (correct me if i'm wrong), and the assembler code on the website is confusing me. Do i have to modify the library to support this chip or rewrite it completely?

Third the screen uses an i2c interface which is supported by the wired library, there is also a beta lcdi2c library on the playground. If anybody has used it, can you tell me if I can use this library, or should I modify it?

And for the soldering, it's seriously difficult to solder to that type of connector, it's meant to be pushed into a matching "female comnector" usually one that is soldered to a PCB. If you can find th matching connector it will be easier to solder to it's pins. But with some care it is possible to solder directly to the connecter on the display. Use the finest soldering tip you can get your hands on.

Hi, thank you both for the quick reply, i'm sorry to have let so much time pass but i've had some school-related work to do. I've found the datasheets for the LCD control online and they are pretty long indeed but i'm trying to get through them. As for the physical connection part i desoldered the connector from the pcb, but that didn't help me much, the connector is tiny too. My soldering skills are almost nonexistent that's why i've figurd out another solution.

As you can see in the image, i'm thinking of pushing a pin through each of the round connection points, so i can attach some wires to them more easily. I have to figure out how to isolate the pin heads so they don't short. Do you think this might be a solution or i would just totally cripple the connector?

Thank you!

I'm sorry to hear this. I recommend that your force restart your device. To do so, press and hold volume up and the on/off key down simultaneously for at least 10 seconds. Then try charging your device again.

i have tried all the solutions you suggested but none of it works. i tried force restart, turning on and off my phone and even tried with different chargers and cables. when i turn off my phone and connected to charger, the led turn red indicating it detect the charger but then still not charging. same goes when i turn my phone on, it make a sound indicating it detect the charger but no sign of charging. i have used this phone for 3 years and it will be sad if i had to change to a new phone just because of a charging problem. is there any other solutions?

i have the same problem, the phone detects the charger and it makes a sound, but the phone doesn't charge. When the phone is turned off and the battery is in 0% I connect the charger and appears the red led and it doesn't do anything more. I can't turn on my phone. I tried pressing power button and off button, then i tried volume + and power button. Nothing worked

I am facing the same problem not charging the phone. Initialy 6 months before charger connectivity problem was there with the xperia M2 original charger. I purchase new original cod for the charger. initial cod charging the mobile but after same days speed of charging the mobile is very slow. And currently mobile is not charging at all. If I factory reset the mobile then some days it will be charge but again same problem raised. I am very disappointed with sony xperia due to this charging issue I need to purchase new mobile. It is too sad.

Same problem here i have tried everything but it didn't work i'm very disappointed as i bought a sony product so as to not facing a manufacturing problems like this now i got phobia of any product with a "sony" on it

I understand your frustration but do contact your Local support to get it inspected / repaired, you can also test different charges and/or cables; oh, and perhaps deal with the phobia with an specialist, lol

I have this same problem, I have only had the phone for 6 months! tried different chargers, not working. I have had 3 generations of Sony Xperia, the last the camera stopped working completely after 2 years, if this charging problem doesn't get fixed easily this will be the last Sony I buy.

I purchased a second hand t-mobile device with a clean imei number. I wanted know before phoning 150 to see of there unlocking team would be able to provide the ECK (not NCK) unlock code for the ESL 5 lock that was on the hand set. I have tried other unlocking services who say that they dont provide ECK codes for the Sony ericsson K700i. Can any one please help to shine some light on this matter?

Crikey that's an old one, if the Phone was on the UK T Mobile Service then in theory it should work on the EE Network under the Old Orange / T Mob migration, but be it with limited Radio Bands, unless it been Blacklisted or Barred at some point.

In theory that's what I thought but no the phone seems to be lock to the old t mobile sims that have a differnet operator code compared to the new ee sim cards ( I tested using my personal ee sim and my old deactivated tmobile sim, it accepts the old t-mobile sim but not the ee sim card). So I check to that it is not sim pin locked, nope. I check the MNC2 list and all sections (NCK, CCK, SPCK, etc) are unlocked or not show apart from ESL which shows a lock symbol. So it seems the phone needs to be unlock. Thank you very much for responding. You are right it s an old phone but if it ain't broken don't fix it.

In theory it should work, if, as said it was on the original T Mob Carrier, as the EE Network should still accept both the Orange, T Mob and EE UK Network User Codes, as far as I'm aware most of the Phone Network upgrades were done over the Air, so maybe the phones been off for a while and missed it all.

They did have a sort out s few years back but that was mainly for the MVNOs like Virgin etc who used TM and EE but during that process it was down to the MVNO to sort out a replacement SIM , so if the Phone came from an MVNO that wouldn't help things.

Yeah they were good phones I think the K series was when Sony Ericsson lead the way in putting proper cameras in phones like the cyber-shot lens I had a k800i back in around 2004 from used it for around 10 years as my main Blower and Camera and kept the Smart phones for Net Surfing, still got it somewhere.

It is t-mobile branded and has the t-mobile start up tone and screen. I will try leaving it turned on for a while with an ee sink card in it incase something happens but until then it seems I will jaunt have to keep looking elsewhere or phone ee directly to see if they can do anything.

But even so beware that EE could still refuse to unlock it. Many phones sold 2nd-hand have been reported lost or stolen, have been sold by the original owner when under 6 months old without EE's permission or have money owing on them.
