Archaeological Dig at High Wood 2018

South Oxfordshire Archaeology Group are starting the 3rd (or 4th) year of digging on the site of a Roman Villa in High Wood (near Harpsden, Henley) and they are looking for volunteers.
Please see the attached email and fliers from club secretary Mike Vincent, and ask him or me if you have any question - I was on the dig in 2017 and will be back there again this year.

Dear all,
It’s that season coming up fast again and we have a full schedule of digging planned again for this year from mid-March, under the directorship of Alan Hall and site supervisor Andrew Allum. I attach (in source and pdf format) the “booking form” with all the dates and also an advert/poster – if you know anywhere or anyone where it could go, please do pass it on.
Please don’t regard the form as too prescriptive – it shows you the dates through until June but if either you can actually “tick the boxes”, or just give me an idea of what you think you might be able to do in more general terms, I’d be very grateful. I will of course issue updates during the season, as (as you know) because of site access we MUST know who’s coming, by each weekend. I’m anxious to get a good estimate of numbers as soon as possible – especially for the first few weekends. Any other information you want, don’t hesitate to call or email.
If you can’t be involved at High Wood again and do not want contacting, please let me know.
