Hi Didcot HHHers

It's been a while, hope you're all well and enjoying your hashing...

A friend of mine has asked me to vote for a community project where she lives in Wales and I wondered if some of you might like to do the same as you make a regular trip there, don't you?  I've included Sue's message and how to vote below, your support would be much appreciated if you feel you would like to.

All the best, on on etc

I've got a cheeky question, but please don't feel obliged if it's not your thing ......    Eileen and I have applied for a grant from the Calor Rural Community Fund for new rubber flooring in the Abergynolwyn Children's Playground - it's on its last legs, and if we can't get enough funds together (we need £10K), the playground could close.  We've got £5K already, and the grant could give us the balance - but getting through to the final is based on the number of online public votes.

If you and Derek feel you could vote for us, it would be brilliant, but please don't feel pressured. If you follow this link:  Calor Rural Community Fund

and click on the red bar to vote, you'd just need to follow the online instructions, ie i) Register, ii) Confirm your email iii) use all your 10 votes on the project (if that's OK).

We were in the lead to start with, but are having trouble keeping it up - we'd dropped back to 7th place this evening.

Cuckoos are back in Abergynolwyn and Abertrinant and the swifts are back in Ware.  Also just had the first starling brood fledged in Ware, they've nested in the eaves again this year.
Bookings are still coming in for Y Bwthyn, so far so good!  And I'm just back from a week on Skokholm which was great!  See you next month:-),

Love Sue xx
