Hashers

You are the CAMRA contacts to the best of my knowledge.

As you know the Hash CAMRA will be on the IOW this year and there are just under 80 signed up for the weekend.  There is also the option of coming just for the Sunday.  The timeline of Sunday is below.

I have checked the WrightLink website and a return on the hovercraft from Portsmouth to Ryde is £16.  The Start of the Sunday run is within a mile of the Hoverport in Ryde.

Can you please advertise the Sunday run option and let me and BeerPump  (steve...@gmail.com) know rough number of attendees.

The details of the Hash CAMRA are here http://www.worthyh3.co.uk/Social/Hash_CAMRA_2018.htm

Timetable

Sunday 14th

1030 - CAMRA Long Run Departs hosted by  IOW Hash

1100 - The CAMRA Run(medium and short) hosted by  IOW Hash.

3 runs -  4 miles, 6 miles and a brewery run of 9 miles.  Shorter routes, if required, 2 miles and a train is an option but this will not be a marked trail.

Start point St Johns railway Station,Ryde  finish and Down Downs at Havenstreet railway station.  Beer festival in Havenstreet and get your own lunch.  FOOD IS NOT INCLUDED.

o/c - Steam train back to Smallbrook Station which connects to the main line for return to Ryde or Newport / Shanklin and connection to the buses

Evening - Sunday social back at the site??

The programme for the Beer and Buses will be available for a cost of £7.  These give you a discount on the beer at the festivals and is the only way the buses make any money as they are not allowed to charge

Option 2 - Day Trippers

Come to the IOW on the Sunday morning in time for the Hash Run, . The run starts from a mile from the Ryde Hoverport and ends at one of the beer festivals

Participate in Beer and Buses and return to the North Island on the Sunday evening.  St Johns Station is under a mile from Ryde Terminal .

Cost – Check out Wightlink for Hovercraft fares at £16 return .  Booking a train plus ferry as a combination is a good deal as well as avoiding her need to drive!

You will be making your own travel arrangements however joining up with others for a 4 people traveling together train fairs or group ferry bookings is recommended
