FYI, many insurance companies, such as Shipsurance via Etsy shipping labels, will not cover the package if branded on the outside in such a way to indicate contents. I would not use Etsy shipping tape for this very reason - it screams "hey porch pirate, I'm some merchandise you might be interested in..."

@WoodenGrasshopper I don't disagree, but the Amazons, Best Buys and Walmarts of this world are big enough to take the loss. Etsy tape leaves the small seller taking the loss cause Etsy sure as heck isn't going to cover the loss if insurance denies your claim due to Etsy branding.

I've used the etsy tape this whole year with no theft problems. I'm shocked that Etsy isn't providing an option for reorder. I had assumed they would be providing sellers with this tape on a regular basis. Geez Etsy.

I just used the last of my free Etsy tape. I have looked to buy it most places NOT available. I ended up buying a colorful USA repeating flags to replace it (on Amazon). Etsy is not getting the advertising anymore on my Etsy packages. I like using a mid section tape on my 1st class package (sometime the "lost" package it found when it is described in detail). Ebay 1st class packages get the colorful Ebay tape - really cheap for sale on Ebay. Priority packages get USPS Tape (I still have a few rolls left) or the still available stickers. I had some "lost" packages but no porch thieves as most of my items fit into the mailbox.

I know older thread but.. be aware having branding on the outside of your package may make it a theft target but ALSO it nullifies Shipsurance and possibly other insurance providers..read the fine print. Shipsurance does not cover if you have branding on the outside of your package (I think return address is OK but I'd double check) I can't imagine Etsy or Ebay tape would not fall under branding.

Tape rolls are cut to standard tape industry metric widths of approx. 24mm per 1-inch of nominal width ordered. As a result ACTUAL tape widths are normally 5% narrower than the NOMINAL width shown in inches. Examples:

Emily Bellaver, 17, and Rebecca Phoenix, 18, are two seniors at Ferndale High School who made their own prom dresses out of Duck Tape duct tape. Using 25 rolls of tape and 256 hours of time, Bellaver hand-assembled two prom dresses. The dresses mimic two parts of artist Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night series, "Starry Night" and "Starry Night Over the Rhone."

Students were required to attend a school-sanctioned prom. The winners will be announced July 15. The grand prize is a $25,000 scholarship: $10,000 is given to each member of the couple and $5,000 goes to the school whose prom they attended.

Tube preamps and tape machines would naturally saturate every recording in vintage recording studios. The result was a distinct sonic character that consists of gentle distortion, dynamic range compression, and a mild low-frequency boost. Nowadays, we describe this type of sound as warm and analog.

BPB Saturator is a free saturation plugin by Bedroom Producers Blog. It uses waveshaping to simulate tape and tube saturation. The result is a lightweight saturation tool that will add warmth and character to your audio without a massive CPU hit.

You can use BPB Saturator as a subtle coloration effect or a more aggressive distortion plugin. Experiment with adding modest amounts of tape and tube saturation while fine-tuning the input and output gain for best results.

BPB Saturator also features a pair of filters. Use the high-pass filter to remove excess bass frequencies and the low-pass filter to remove hiss and noise. You can also use the filters in tandem with tape saturation to simulate vintage tape recorders.

Although the plugin initially utilized a physical model of the Sony TC-260 tape recorder, the current algorithm can simulate various analog tape machines. It addresses the saturation behavior of tape recorders, as well as their lo-fi properties.

You can use CHOW Tape solely as a saturation plugin that adds harmonic distortion changes the dynamics. However, the plugin also excels at emulating the wow and flutter, noise, and other side-effects of vintage tape decks.

No, it is not recommended to apply the tape on the lips if there is Chapstick or lip balm present. However, it can be applied on other areas with wrinkles, such as frown lines between the eyebrows, while using skincare creams.

Yes, the tape is designed to work with beards too! It's small enough not to cover the beard area, and even if it touches the beard, it won't pull the hair when you remove it. Our specially crafted design ensures a comfortable and effective application without affecting your beard. Feel free to contact us if you have any specific concerns or need guidance on using the tape with a beard!

Tape is a household staple that is easy to take for granted, but its versatility is truly astounding. Since the surgeon Horace Day created the first pressure-sensitive tape in 1845, these adhesive strips have expanded widely in variety and are now used in everything from fine art to airplane construction. Tape makes notable appearances in numerous collages, sculptures, and interdisciplinary works, as well as in street art around the globe.

Note that the below is not intended as a definitive guide to tape, but an introduction to some of the tapes artists and conservators use in their work. Always check out specific tape instructions for guidance on traits like strength, heat sensitivity, whether it can be repositioned or removed, and, if removable, whether it leaves a residue.

Along with affixing and repairing materials and creating works of art, some clear tape is used during the creative process to secure painting surfaces and create crisp borders. Watercolor washout tape is a contemporary spin on gummed paper tape traditionally used to stretch and hold watercolor paper during painting. It can be removed without harming an artwork, and some versions, like this one from Specialty Tapes, are UV resistant and designed not to discolor over time.

Any discussion of tape in the arts must include washi tape, a decorous member of the masking tape family that originated in Japan, though versions are now produced around the world. Washi tape bears an expansive selection of patterns and imagery, is usually backed by natural fibers including rice and mulberry, and is repositionable. It is generally acid-free and is popular in scrapbooking. ROB sometimes uses mt, generally regarded as the original washi tape.

Using a mix of dynamic convolution and physical modeling, the Tape Machine 99 re-creates the complex interplay of effects taking place in the audio tape recording process, down to the smallest details of this machine.

The program coming out a professional tape recorder is very similar to the one coming in, just better. It's subtle but you can feel that it is not. This is the essence, and the T-RackS Tape Machine collection faithfully bring all this magic right to your DAW.

Skeptical? Right about now, you're probably scratching your head, giving this screen a side-eye, and wondering if I've lost a few marbles suggesting you slap a piece of tape over your mouth. I get it, it sounds like a practical joke or a plot for a silent movie!

Before you dismiss the tape idea as a gag (pun intended), remember this - nose breathing is the fun uncle is that brings all the gifts to the party and mouth breathing is the grandma that knits you the itchy Christmas sweater. However, not all mouth tape are created equal. There is only one superhero in this story.

Introducing the mighty Hostage Tape! The strongest most comfortable mouth tape on the planet ?. This ain't your average run-of-the-mill, namby-pamby adhesive; it's more like the Hulk of mouth tapes grabbing your face and holding your mouth shut.

There is a science to it. Top-notch brainiacs like Dr. Andrew Huberman are suggesting a revolutionary way to snag a peaceful night's sleep is not counting sheep until 2am but actually applying mouth tape to promote nasal breathing. All horror movie jokes aside...

This isn't a plot to muffle your snoring to give your partner peace and quiet. (though, admittedly, it might be a happy side effect). There are actually some benefits.

Turns out you have strong jaws to match that beard. The problem? The cheap tape holds like a sandcastle in a hurricane. You need something stronger. You need something that won't fall off. You need Hostage Tape. In this instance, cheap is not better.
