Sometimes I get a green screen on YouTube or when using the web version of chrome remote desktop. This occurs both when shields are up and down. My extensions are also disabled. In the Chrome remote desktop web application, I am able to see the media when I open up another browser menu, but when I try to directly access it, it just shows a green screen. Any known fix to this?

You were spot on! Disabled HW acceleration and used brave for a little over a week. No green blocks seen yet, while at the frequency they appeared before I would have certainly expected to see them multiple times by now.

Investment Priority 4b (above) aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions: it targets SMEs in all sectors and on increasing the volume of advice & support for companies to help them improve their environmental performance (e.g. through energy audits). To date, Priority 4b has been under-subscribed.

The Skåne Regional Film Strategy Strategi för rörlig film och bild 2015-2020 aims to make Skåne the most dynamic and innovative region for film and transmedia in Scandinavia. The strategy itself does not refer to environmental sustainability but its Action Plan includes the development of a toolkit for green film shooting. There is no related budget allocation for this

In addition to the fact that some SMEs are themselves audio visual companies, others play an important role in the AVP supply chain, by providing services such as design, catering, lighting, construction to support both studio based and location filming. Furthermore the green agenda presents an opportunity for innovative SMEs to develop new products to reduce carbon emissions.

Current AIE applicants are only service providers:thus not enough producers, crew members are sensitized to green issues. The take-up of both the environmental strands of the AIE fund and Ecoprod needs to be extended in scope and increased in number. For this reason, the policy instrument needs to be improved.

I'm using Ultra Key to remove green screen, but the person talking in front of the camera is making lot of hands movements and sometimes we see a bit of green screen in the movements. Do you have any idea how to remove that?

When trying to key video in the edit software, the video is represented as numbers. Which pixels have the green numbers? Let's replace those. The problem is that most cameras these days record 4:2:0 color, and let's just say that the "0" means a large chunk of color data is discarded during compression before the video ever gets to the SD card...or the edit software. Therefore, when trying to key, there is not enough color information left to make a clean key. The more compressed the video is to start with, the less happy the keyer software will be since it doesn't have much color info to work with = bad results.

For better results when shooting the footage, move subject farther away from green background, apply a light from above and behind subject to help separate edges of the subject from background, and shoot at a higher frame rate like 60p to reduce motion blur.

The secret to pulling your subjects out of the real world and placing them into a digital domain is chromakey. That means going green with a green screen. Green screen is a useful tool in cinematography. It opens up a world of endless possibilities for what can be put on screen.

The only requirements are that your background is large enough to fill your screen, smooth enough to take light evenly without showing wrinkles or casting shadows, and bright enough to contrast well with your subject.

If you do not have a lot of distance to work with, position your key & fill lights slightly to the sides, not straight on, so any resulting shadows will fall outside the visible frame. Another advantage of moving your subject away from the wall is the reduction of reflected green spill light on your talent. Reflected spill light can rim your subject in a tinted halo that can be difficult to discern with the naked eye, but if your actor is too close to your wall, it will be there, and any green bouncing off your actor will mess up the cleanliness of your key. You can wash away a fair amount of reflected green using a bright backlight, but you will find that distance is your best friend.

The camera you use for shooting green screen footage for visual effects and virtual backgrounds does make a difference. Because chroma keying is a digital process, the way your camera creates the image directly affects your ability to pull a clean key.

The key filter will offer you adjustment options in the effects control panel. With a little tweaking, you can use these controls to dial in the key, eliminating grainy areas or green edges. Poorly lit green screen footage may still be keyable, but might require multiple key passes. Taking the time to light and shoot the scene well makes things as easy as possible in the edit.

Improve your video quality in Microsoft Teams meetings with green screen. Use green screen during your meeting to sharpen how you look against a virtual background and move or use props without distorting it.

The #1 Green Screen app for the iPad and iPhone makes it easy to create incredible green screen videos and photos. This app emphasizes ease-of-use and simplicity, while still enabling fantastic results. The above video is a great overview, then move on to the additional tutorials to learn even more techniques to customize your video!

I have been trying to take my green screen game to the next level for a while and last night I found the ultimate guide so I thought I would share it. If you are having issues getting good effects with your green screen, take a look at this video (it is not mine). If you think your green screen is really good, I'm sure there's a tip for you in here too! This is the best video I have seen on this subject and I have looked at a lot of them!

Later this week I will be shuffling my studio to apply some of those tips and will keep you posted on the results. I hope this helps someone! Share your green screen tips if you have any that are not on the list.

I agree with Carlos, you will need to get a flatter green screen. The lines are likely not helping. Try standing a little further away from the screen as well and as Larry suggested, try a light on top of your head (very very low, just to give your hair a little shine). Also, I'm not familiar with the software you are using but there is likely a few settings to change the sensitivity of your keyer. I'm expecting because your screen is not perfectly flat and solid, the software is having to use dark green as a color to make transparent, which in turn is taking some of your hair out as well. Getting a good green screen is very tough and will take several tries.

I will be making a post soon. I just completely redid my green screen setup and man oh man, what a difference!! The biggest difference was using better lights for the screen (homebuilt for cheap too!) and using all the same temperature (color) bulbs. I settled for 5000K but it doesn't really matter. I have almost zero work to do in editing now to get everything color balance and my keyer is 100% spot on with one click.

About the f.stop on your lens: I would not try to blur the background, that background being the green screen. If you are using a green screen then you can insert a photo as background, that is blured. I recommend that your f.stop be at least 5.6 otherwise your depth of field may cause you to be out of focus with just leaning forward or back. If you are down to around f.2.0 your nose and your ear will be out of focus if one is in focus. The more depth of field (higher f.stop) the less chance of being out of focus. Of course, the more light you have, the higher you can move the f.stop.

*** I wanted to give an update on this topic because it took me a long time to get what I think is the proper setup. I'm sharing this in hope that someone else can find it useful and not have to experiment as I did. ***
I'll start with what I did for my very first Udemy course. I went to Joan's fabric to get the greenest and most neon looking big piece of fabric I could find. Then I hung it behind my desk. Then I put a lot of lights on my desk lighting up my face and lighting up my green screen (both from the same location... mistake). The lights were those Home Depot $8 metallic light bulb holders that you can clamp on things. Cheap! I got some 60W and 100W light bulbs, not sure what color temperature they were but here's what I got: something that was hard to white balance and to key! I look at this and I cringe now, the green screen is yellow, has tons of shadows, wrinkles. My face has weird nose shadows, a bad hue, etc...
I made it work though, this is the course that still brings me the most money each month, is best seller and best rated (at 4.6). I am in the process of reshooting this course as explained in this thread. Students never complained about the quality of the course production, not once!

Then I thought I'd study green screens a little... I started making money on Udemy and taking this more seriously. I had a big course to record (35 hours of content) so I took over our guest bedroom, stretched a green screen on the wall, put the camera on a tripod, put some lights on me, some lights on the green screen, it was looking a little better. Here's a picture of the mess. I had to shoot in a corner because the distance was too short from the camera to me (the camera is hidden in the very right corner, behind a home made teleprompter)...

The screen was the same as earlier, the lights were the same too. I was able to better light my face and remove some shadows and I started using a grey card for white balance. I also started using a better camera (Panasonic GH5 vs DJI Osmo). Here's what I got out of it.

The screen is unevenly lit, which results in difficulties with keying but with the limited space, that's really all I could do. The lights are in the frame so they had to be cropped out and masked, which works since I don't do large arm movements. This was a big improvement from before, easier to white balance since I used a card and a custom white balance on my camera but I knew the green screen lighting could improve.
