Highlightsof ActivInspire 3.0 include enhanced performance, updated visuals, and an improved user interface. Replacing the dashboard, a new homepage welcomes teachers to the program as it launches. Changes to graphics include a new desktop icon and loading screen. The Studio version also features an updated color scheme, aesthetics, iconography, and header.
Significant user-friendly updates to the toolbar allow teachers to stretch, move, and scroll through their personalized list of tools and sort toolbar commands alphabetically to quickly find the tools they use most. Scrolling and scaling improvements have been made to the resource and page browsers for easier navigation between windows while creating lessons and activities.
In flipcharts, teachers can select a resource as the background and apply it to all pages at once, and quickly insert and adjust content with the new cropping tool. The spellcheck feature has been updated in flipcharts as well. To improve the user experience, profile changes will be automatically saved, and pen functionality across all OS systems and panel versions has been optimized.
since the version 2.24, Activinspire is disown by his maintainer that fail to resolve some dependencies. Activinspire is a very good software for interactive whiteboard, but its linux version (for ubuntu focal) is package by crazy people with terrible script, gnome extension, old dependencies... For exemple, a few version ago, the deb contain 3 times the software inside for no reason. So i understand the maintainer..
- MD5, version...etc
- Remove /etc/xdg but keep /etc/udev (needed???)
- Remove /usr/share/gnome-shell (i am on kde so i don't see the need of this extension and i don't think it's the way to go)
- Remove com.ubuntu.user-interface.gschema.xml that seems no longer needed
- Remove killing inspire at launch as it seems not needed any more (had to test more)
- Update dependencies : icu60 seems no longer needed and openssl1.1 instead of 1.0
- Resolve dependency by brutally adding in /opt/activsoftware libre2.so.5 and libwebp.so.6 in /opt/activsoftware from ubuntu focal deb ( -5 and )
It seems to work well on my setup (except small font in the menu that don't bother me to much and the impossibility to print but it was like this before). Before taking my time to understand how to become the new maintainer, i need to know if people are interested and i need some test. I put all the file need to compile and test the 2.24 version here :
It's a version to be compile locally with activinspire deb directly in the folder, the link for the activinspire deb will be update for AUR version to be download it from promothean server. The rest is rework script and lib from ubuntu package, so i don't think it will pose some license problem.
That's odd that it'll show in Get Info but not in the JSS. Usually, if it shows in the Get Info, you'll get the same result in your inventory. I believe Get Info pulls from the CFBundleVersion key in the application bundle's Info.plist file. You may want to make sure the permissions on the app bundle are correct. If not I suppose it could result in your jamf account from reading the appropriate info, thus the n/a.
We found that Adobe had plug-ins with a % in the title. The reconForm would report incorrect versions for every item with a % in the title and all subsequent items. JAMF's software wasn't interpreting the % symbol correctly. (Of course this may not be the only character that JAMF has an issue with). The % symbol was causing the versions to be offset to versions of previous plug-ins (I think it was an offset of 6).
By changing the name of the plug-ins to remove the %, all these and subsequent plug-ins were then correctly reporting with the right version number. I fed all of this information to JAMF, but I am unaware if they have fixed it or not; I would have to put % back into titles to find out.

hi, I have a serious problem here... I saved a file as PSD ,then delet all the layers and was doing another stuff on the sheet( the reason I did this is because I wanted the same page size and was lazy to enter the size: )after I finished, I saved the file to another name. but, I found that the first file that i saved manually , is replaced by an autosave file on my work procedure on the second file. I know this happend because I was working with the sama names, but is there any way that I can restore my first file that I saved to what I manually saved?:( I didnt know this whould happend... adobe shouldnt autosave on the manually saved files...:( pleaseeeeeeeeee help me, what can I do here?
Sorry to bring up an old thread but a Google search for this same problem kept bringing me here. Not sure if this is a new feature or not but I accidentally did the same thing. I opened up a file to use the layout, re-did a whole new ad and then in a hurry, two hours later I pushed the (command+s) button and to my dismay, saved over the entire original file. Then I opened up the history panel from the windows drop down and noticed at the top of the history panel there was a version of the file,
Thanks for the reply chris, But I didn't accidentally saved over!( dunno why adobe forum changed my topic!) I saved the file first under the name" page 13" then continue working on it , after finished, I saved it under the name "page 14". but the second file was not the completion of the first one! I need both files.. but I found that photoshop changed the contents of what I saved as the page 13, to the work procedure after I saved! but I want the file goes back to what I saved manually... what should I do? ( and I disn't set any recovery backup for my Pc!:( )
If you pressed "save" it will save over the file, if you use "save as" it will save to what you call it. Sounds like you pressed save as that is only way PS will overwrite the file. You can not recover from this unless you have another copy somewhere.

Then I opened up the history panel from the windows drop down and noticed at the top of the history panel there was a version of the file, as it was, when I opened it. So I saved the file as a different name, crossed my fingers and pushed the little button at the top of the history actions next to the thumbnail of the original file. And BAM! it restored the file back to it's original glory it was in, right when I opened it. Re-saved the original and was able to keep both files. Yay, win for me!
Thank you Kilo!! You just saved me from a huge headache! When I had realized my screw up I kept undoing hoping to get back to my original but it only saves so many changes and I thought I was in big trouble. But no matter what it saves the original. So good to know!
Hello, dear kilo the same problem got me and I cannot recover or get my work history. what version did you recover my adobe version is cs6 2016 please anyone help me I must have to submit a project today please help me to recover my work.
I recently saved over a Photoshop .psd file by mistake but was able to recover it in Windows 10, even after closing it. I opened windows file manager and navigated to where the file was saved. Then right clicked on the new saved version and selected "Version history". I picked a version from before I had saved over it. Then, I clicked on the three vertical dots to the right and selected the "Restore" option.
Should also mention that while doing the above I had the new version of the file open in Photoshop. And once I did the recovery of the overwritten version, I changed the file name in Windows file manager. Then went back to Photoshop and resaved the open new version.
