It does not cost anything to cut your own images. Also there are many free images included with the cricut explore. There are also free images and projects weekly. Fonts can be installed on your computer and then used in the design space which save you from having to spend $5-6 for a font.

I have tried to get an answer from Cricut support, but forget that.
All I want to cut is the alphabet, an example: want to cut on my explore the
Letters A. B. C.
I want the height from top to bottom to be 4 inches.
I want the width from left to right to be 23/4 inches.
Does anyone know if this is possible.

Glad I read all the crap on the cricut Exlpore Air. I was going to purchase it but not now! I was on hold for an hour for the support line and still no one answered the phone! If I bought the Cricut Explore Air and needed to call suport and this was what I get, then FORGET IT!

Oh no! I bought mine through Amazon so I have until next Monday to return through them I think I will go that route versus cricut. They seem hard to deal with. I probably spent an hour on Friday night trying to chat with them over it.

I have read your problems with the cricut explorer and I agree it takes some to work this machine, but so far
( and I say that because I have not learned all the the explorer does) when I call the help line they have been
awesome. They have stayed on the phone with me until they get me to understand what I am doing or the problem I have. Sometimes it have been up to 20 minutes and at know time did they make me feel rushed. I was very impressed. So call them instead of email and I hope you will be as impress with them as I am.

i just got a new cricut air and am having some issues with the setup. i can connect my cricut to my computer (and have tried to do this with both usb and bluetooth) but as soon as i try to do the test print, the cut gets stuck in progress (specifically the preparing screen).

Storage Space: I like being able to store all of my blades and weeding tools on the machine itself. Both machines have good storage for the tools and blades that they are capable of using. The Maker has way more storage than the explore, I like this because I am able to store more goodies in it.

Sorry if I missed any info on this but I mainly want to do stickers and labels and thinner things so I'm thinking the explore BUT I want colored stickers and want to be able to have a machine that prints color and cuts all in one which is why I'm thinking the maker HOWEVER lol, that would mean I would have to buy cricut ink for that particular model right? Is the ink expensive? Is there a generic brand I could buy to save $$$? Does the ink last long? Ink can get get pretty pricey sometimes and esp if it's specific ink..I saw a video where a girl just makes her own on a cannon printer and then uses her cricut to simply cut what came from another machine. Idk lol please help!!!:) oh and great information on both models this was all very helpful:)
