I can get it to appear on the bottom of my Treehouse Workplace, but not my browser window. Chrome also always throws up crazy-looking errors not connected to a line; yes, I could ignore this. But, I'd like to get my Chrome browser window looking a lot more like the Treehouse tutorial. Thank you for suggestions. I'm using up-to-date Chrome for Mac version 73.0.3683.75
If setting padding does not appeal to you, try the above. I didn't want to set padding, because a margin on the bottom of boxes is my standard way of making room for the next box when data is dynamic and I don't know whether there will be one.
Google Chrome dev tools no longer lets me re-position it to the bottom of the page instead of the right side. Anyone know how I can re-enable this function? It makes it very difficult to use it in certain screen layouts.
A long time ago, Google experimented with a bottom-based interface in Chrome for Android. It went through many different iterations and bore multiple codenames (Chrome Duet being the most recent one), but it never went beyond an experimental stage. Some versions of it even looked like Chrome on iOS looks today, with the address bar at the top and extra options like a share button and the tab switcher at the bottom. Google ultimately stuck with the top-based design on Android, with the last remnants of Chrome Duet deleted in 2020.
it still happens in incognito mode but it definitely has to do with the editor login tab at the bottom.
the site rendered without the whitespace while in incognito mode but when i went to the editor and then logged out of it the whitespace was back. the editor login tab was now present too.
Yes, agree! I am used to create an ICS file (Calendar format) from my online ERP system, which I can drag into my calendar tool. And that is possible from the shelf in the bottom. Plus in the shelf you can see in one glance what the status and progress is of each download.
I stripped my other code out and this is the raw table properties that I am using. With the exact code below, same issue in that the IE browser has the email input at the bottom of the table. Chrome an FF raises up.
i see, hmm when i see this kind of errors usually i "fix" it by increasing/reducing the margin - bottom of the pdf page (which you can do on the chrome pdf properties of studio). in most of the cases i'm able to fix those problems by doing that, i think it can be a good workaround for the chromium bug
tried some small changes (but really need the reports to fit close to 'regular' A4 margins so don't have much wiggle room), and still getting the issue (not on every page, but see it appear both as an extra line at the bottom and a double weight line between the thead/tbody area on different pages.) - looks like this is another issue that should get addressed with the LayoutNG fixed in Chromium so hopefully that's not going to be too far away...
You can change where DevTools is docked in the browser. By default, Microsoft Edge DevTools is docked to the right of the browser window. You can also dock DevTools to the bottom or left of the window, or undock DevTools to a separate window.
Dock to bottom helps you when you don't have enough horizontal display space, or you want to debug long text in the DOM or Console. The following image shows DevTools in the bottom of the browser window:
The notifications that pop up in chrome (or any web browser) of the image photo preview of the video on the ring doorbell or any ring cam or flood or spotlight video work great, but when they pop up on the bottom right of the web browser showing the thumbnail photo image preview of the video (to see who is at the door quick and easy) has the bottom 1/3 of the video preview being blocked by a text box that says someone is at the door etc and since my view of of stairs coming up to the ring doorbell and it blocks that 1/3 of the video image preview, the feature is worthless because I can not see who is at the door as the text box on the photo preview is blocking the bottom 1/3 of the image preview.
How do I turn that text box preview off or Ring needs to make that show under the photo image preview, not block 1/3 of the bottom of the photo with the text box as it makes the feature useless. Or if this can already be changed to turn the text box off the video preview images that pop up in chrome on the notifications in the bottom right corner, how do I turn that off so I can see who is in the image previews at the door?

See how the text box is blocking the bottom 1/3 of the preview image in chrome, but the stairs are down from here and the persons face gets blocked by the text box. So I can not see who is there in the pop up image, as the text box is blocking it. The text box should be below the image, not on top of the 1/3 bottom. Or how do I adjust the image area that is shown, so it is not showing the top of the roof, but shows the bottom more so I can see who is coming up the stairs and at the door in the preview. That would be a huge improvement!
This is on my ring pro 2 door bell. How do I disable the text box on the image preview that pops up in chrome so I can see who is that the door when the preview image pops up? The text box in the image preview is blocking the bottom 1/3 of the image preview, where the person will show in the image as there are stairs coming up to the doorbell. So the persons face ends up being in the bottom 1/3 of the image when the preview image is taken and then shown in the image preview that pops up in the notice in chrome.
Additionally, you can move panels and tabs up and down to and from the Drawer. To do this, right-click the panel or tab and select Move to top or Move to bottom from the drop-down menu.
For example, the Styles pane in the Elements panel will move from the side to the bottom when screen size is small. If you want the Style pane to always stay on the side, change the panel layout to vertical.
In the past when I log in to a website in chrome and i am in user field it has an option on the bottom to click for 1 password. Nothing there now. I have to leave chrome and then go back to chrome and it suddenly appears. Seems odd.
Add a bit more, I used to on my ipad in chrome when prompted for a password click on the bottom of the screen for passwords but that area doesn't show anything......until.......I leave chrome and come back in to it. the second I do that the password click at the bottom appears. Not sure if it is a setting or just an update that has caused this to be a pain. As long as I leave chrome and come back it works everytime.
I did a search and it seems like people were having problems in 2018 - 2020, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer. I am using chrome, I cannot remove extensions as they are managed by my organization. Any suggestions on how to "pin" the scrollbar so it shows all the time? The vertical one shows all the time, why can't the horizontal one show too?
Maybe this is related to browser zoom? I just fixed mine (I go from Mac to PC and back in SS) - always see scroll bars on mac - not PC. On PC I set my chrome zoom below 100% - for me 90%) and bottom scroll bar appears. I do notice on PC when sheet is filtered, side scrollbar goes away- not really bothersome given the filter.:)
After a recent Google Chrome update, the download panel appears from the top in a bubble, similar to the user interface of Firefox. But many users want to restore the classic download panel that appears at the bottom of the window.
One the changes is the download bubble instead of the classic download bar. The bubble appears at the top in the toolbar, while old download panel was popping up at the bottom. While the updated UI plays well with the new style of the browser, it makes the user to re-train their muscle memory.
Luckily, it is very easy to do. Developers of the browser kept a special option on the built-in chrome://flags page. Before proceeding, I advise you to update your browser to the latest version. For that, open the menu, select Help > About Google Chrome, and you are good to go. If there are any updates, Chrome will install them.
From now on, when you download a flag, Chrome will use the classic download panel at the screen bottom. Clicking on the file name will open it in an associated app. Nothing will change to the functionality of the browser.
no longer works, but i found a fix somewhere on the internet
right click on the google chrome shortcut (the one on your desktop) and go to properties
then in the target field (the first field) add:
-disable-features=DownloadBubble
at the end
close chrome and open it back up
if you have a shortcut on the taskbar you might need to remove it and drag the desktop shortcut on the task bar to make a new one that works
A recent Google Chrome update relocated download notifications from the bottom of the screen to the top right corner. While this change neatens things up by eliminating the wide download notification that used to pop up at the bottom of Chrome, you might not like the new location.
When I print anything (PDF, web page) or use my printer's scanner to copy anything, the bottom of the page is cut off. And the top margin of the page is too large. It appears like everything has been shifted down half an inch, and off the page.
It's been two years since Apple moved Safari's address bar to the bottom of the iPhone's screen. Now, after a long wait, Google is following in Apple's footsteps. A new setting in the Chrome iOS app moves its address bar to the bottom of your screen. This setting is optional and disabled by default.
Long-pressing the Chrome address bar on iOS will reveal the "Move to Bottom" setting. As explained by Google, the address bar is easier to reach when it's at the bottom of your screen. If you've got a big phone or small hands, it's definitely worth testing. You can revert to the original layout by long-pressing the address bar again. You'll also find these layout options in Chrome's settings.
