Does anyone know if this application is still being supported?

Currently it is difficult to find it in the playstore, and there doesn't seem to be much indication of if it is still being supported.

It has a number of issues with newer versions of android, but even so, it is still the best player that I have found as it is the only one that can stream from SMB shares, as well as display subtitles and the seek bar in the pop-up window.

I would like to see development continue, and would happily get a paid version if available.

I don't think it is being supported anymore, however, I am still using it on my nvidia shield tablet and it works great playing what mxplayer cant
