MX Player can, VLC can, DicePlayer Can't ! Why?

Why is it that DicePlayer can not play any large mkv. files?
Any 720p movie that I torrent can not be played.

The developer randomly decided to drop Ac3 support and since most MKV's use it for the audio especially the larger ones, they end up not working. Overall, it seems like the dice player has been abandoned.
