Harm Reduction and Intervention in Portland and Across the Northwest
brings together practioners in and organizers around harm reduction
and intervention in Portland and the greater Northwest. Here we will
be exploring the landscape of practices and concepts as they seek to
address domestic and interpersonal violence, police brutality,
substance abuse and mental illness, dispute resolution and street
facilitation. Speakers include members of Rose City Copwatch
(Portland); Cahoots, a program of the White Bird Clinic (Eugene),
Yellow Brick Road, a program of Janus Youth (Portland), Dicentra
Collective (Portland) and others.

Dicentra Collective:
Dicentra is a Portland, OR area collective actively engaged in
creating radical communities of care, networks of support, and
movements based on relationship building.

Dicentra Collective intends to create safe, learning space at our
events. We ask that participants consider how their language and
behavior impacts others in attendance. We are striving for a community
that is supportive and inclusive. One where we are able to communicate
and work to effectively resolve challenging situations. It will take
the collective accountability and awareness of each of us to create
this kind of environment. A support team will be available to address
any issues that may arise during our events; if you find yourself in

Our monthly event series will be held at In Other Words on various
dates, and additional workshops and programs will take place around
Portland and the Northwest.

January 2009: Addressing Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence, and
Creating ‘Safe Spaces'.
February 2009: Looking at the Provision of Care, Care-Giving and Care-
Givers.
March 2009: Addressing Mental Health.
April 2009: Addressing Trauma, Grief and Mourning.
May 2009: Addressing Prisons, Ex-Prisoners, Prisoner Support and
Mental Health.

La reducción de los daños/riesgos en Portland y por todo el Noroeste
reúnen a los profesionales y los organizadores que trabajan en la
reducción del daño y la intervención en Portland y el Noroeste. Aquí
vamos a explorar el paisaje de los ejercicios y los conceptos que se
tratan de la violencia domestica e interpersonal, la brutalidad de la

Dicentra es un colectivo de Portland, OR que se dedica activamente en

presentar durante nuestros eventos; si se encuentra a si mismo con
necesidad de apoyo favor de buscar un miembro de nuestro equipo. Los

de los eventos.
