After using the ESET Uninstaller tool, you may be required to reinstall your network adapter drivers. Follow the steps below to back up your network adapter settings and restore them after uninstallation is finished:

uninstall eset nod32 download

Restart your computer in Normal Mode. The uninstaller writes a log of all its processes to the ESETUninstaller.log file (located in the same folder as the ESETUninstaller.exe file) for future reference.

Click the link below that corresponds to your ESET product for help with reinstallation. If you continue to experience issues with reinstallation, delete the ehdrv driver using device manager and then repeat the steps above to run the ESET Uninstaller application again. Since ESET is designed as a security application, in some instances, multiple attempts are required to uninstall the product completely.

I have other virus programs that have issue with Eset virus Free program. I need to uninstall Eset virus program, but it doesn't show up in control panel programs, or setting apps to be removed. ( I have Windows 10 ) The program is NOD32 Antivirus & Cyber-Security but comes up as Eset

@Lightning As @itman pointed out, there's no such thing as what you're explaining That said, if you indeed have an ESET product installed and need to remove it but cannot go about removing it by traditional means, you may use the ESET Uninstaller tool: _apps_remover/latest/esetuninstaller.exe

Thanks BaldNerd for your input. I checked out the links you sent & they look promising, but above my compute ability comfort zone, so i will take your info to a computer repair guy to try your suggestion. Attached is eset error message & AVG report

Also you mentioned the mac version - this will not work on windows - the one you have installed is eset nod32 which is esets antivirus - eset also has internet security which includes firewall and other stuff and then a premium version which has a password manager and encryption tool.

I noticed you mentioned eset free - the only thing I can think of is you are running a trial - it's a while since I have ran a trial of eset but I believe it is 30 days. There is no free version, just the 30 day trial.

It seems that there are many users who have difficulty uninstalling programs like ESET NOD32 Antivirus from their systems. Some experience issues during uninstallation, whereas other encounter problems after the program is removed.

There could be other causes why users may not be able to uninstall ESET NOD32 Antivirus. An incomplete uninstallation of a program may cause problems, which is why thorough removal of programs is recommended.

Uninstalling it has been a pain in the ass because it cant be uninstalled from Control Panel. Whoever designed this antivirus to turn into malware after the license expired needs to rethink their life.

I used your method to remove ESET Endpoint on Windows 7 Pro. Worked perfectly. The program had been installed and maintained for some years by a now defunct 3rd party security support service, so password unknown to any of us. Unable to administer the antivirus program and was causing serious compromise in performance, with no rights to password reset by company. Used 1st method: booted into SafeMode Admin account, used regedit, deleted PackageID key ( same location), rebooted, performed uninstall without being blocked by lack of password, rebooted, deleted hidden files, rebooted, clean uninstall. The internet is a wonderful source of info. Thank you. Thank you.

Recently, one of the companies that I provide support for switched from using ESET to a newantivirus vendor. The problem is that all of their servers had both ESET File Security and the ESETRemote Administrator Agent installed which needed to be uninstalled before installing the newantivirus agent.

Based on this information, it appears that /x is to uninstall and /qn is for no user input. Theuninstall of ESET File Security using the previous commands that I provided cause the system toreboot automatically. There appears to be a switch for msiexec.exe to suppress the reboot, butit's not something that I tried since the removal process does indeed require a restart.

I initially wrapped those commands inside of theInvoke-Commandcmdlet to remotely remove those two applications, but the problem that I ran into is the remotingsession didn't wait long enough for the uninstall to complete before ending the session.

We have opted to use the built-in protection Apple offers in Mac systems over a third-party product. Due to CMU licensing compliance, users will need to uninstall ESET Endpoint Security before December 12th, 2021.

The ESET Uninstaller is a tool that allows you to remove ESET products that you are not able to uninstall through normal methods. This tool performs a manual removal of ESET products that it detects on your computer. To use the uninstaller, simply download it and then double-click on ESETUninstaller.exe. This will open a black Windows that will prompt you on how to continue.

If they intend on playing ostrich and leaving their head in the sand, I'd rather know now so I can uninstall it, because this is the impression they are giving when they offer no response to this post or a solution on their own forum but post something on eset's instead.

I've noticed on a few occasions that other iobit software is installed with very little warning if any when updating. You've sailed close to the wind on various occasions regarding this and with how many registry errors are displayed. Many of which I've considered dubious, especially when you do another scan straight afterwards to see yet more errors or 'privacy issues'. I've put up with this because I've looked at the big picture and seen some speed improvements. However this is the final straw. If what is said by Appesteem is true and your mentality is not to 'eat humble pie' and do something about it, but instead just see it as a false positive then it's time for me to uninstall it. Assuming it is true, I ask myself, if you are not prepared to do anything, is it because your software may be perceived as having less value if there are less errors displayed?

To put it succinctly, if it is true and these screenshots seem to back this up, the solution of asking us to report it as a false positive to eset is the equivalent of when someone commits an offence hoping if enough people protest otherwise, by default it will no longer be seen as one. I'm sorry, this doesn't wash.

I have tried Iobit's so called work around suggested by Cicely. First, it didn't resolve the issue at all. Second, it seems this is the company line they are now giving out rather then accept responsibility , as most reputable companies do, and fix the issue. Of course they know they got our money and we can't get it back. Just another scam I think to get your money. Iobit has had a reputation in the past of being shady in the past. I thought they had gotten past that practice and improved. They did for a short while and now are sliding right back to their shady practices. Guess they need to pump up their bottom line. I have uninstalled all their products from my machine . I have found little change in speed. I definitely get a lot less so called errors. Exactly how they were when they were operating in their shady days. I hope the rest do the same and don't use their products or buy them until they actually fix the issue. Hitting them in their wallet seems the most effective way of getting them to do something besides the proverbial "lip service."

In defense of ESET. I have had that program for decades and haven't had any issue except with IOBIT software. I do agree with Scannan that its a war of who blinks first in this case. I also agree ESET should give the user a notification asking if they want to block or install the blocked software first. I realize nothing is perfect and I do feel a reasonable attempt at a compromise is in store from both parties. I certainly will not uninstall my ESET just because IOBIT won't work. I trust ESET far more then I ever have IOBIT. I think if they know there is a conflict IOBIT should allow unsatisfied customers to get a refund and be done with it. Instead they seem to prolong the agony with clueless fixes.

I wouldn't argue that eset should not themselves automatically uninstall a program, but this is used as a 'straw-man' argument to deflect attention away from why iobit were black-listed in the first place. In other words they are accused of:

The problem is that when you try and uninstall ESET 6.5 from a Windows Server image running under AWS the installation is blocked by the HIDS (intrusion detection) which prevents the installer from removing ESET for security reasons. You end up in an endless loop. There is a standalone removal tool provided by ESET by that requires that you run Windows Server in 'safe mode' which is not possible with AWS EC2.

So the solution we found that works is to detach the root volume, attach to another running EC2 instance and then delete the three files that are part of ESET HIDS. Then you can safely uninstall ESET 6.x using the Control Panel and install a clean version of ESET 7.x.

It is of course most effective when run after the program's own uninstaller. reboot into windows safe mode (no locked files then) for best possible cleaning and run this tool. don't bother with the zip, just download the EXE file. choose the option to remove all known products. you need to enter a captcha code to confirm removal. restart when finished and install your shiny new Bitdefender product.
