To be honest, the films I can get away with watching in December are some of my favorite parts of the Christmas season. Every year, once I finish finals, the week leading up to Christmas is full of bingeing all of the holiday films. A tradition I kept through all of high school and some of college was watching Notting Hill on the afternoon of my last final, and while I still usually end up watching it right before Christmas because Richard Curtis movies just make me feel all the feels, I wanted to share my favorite, solely holiday-themed films that I love to watch this time of year.

USC enters the Holiday Bowl with a 7-5 record. The Trojans are making their fourth appearance at the Holiday Bowl. They started the season 6-0 and were ranked as high as No. 5 in the nation, but lost five of their last six games.

Between the third and fourth quarters, three fans will battle against one another on the field to see who can throw the most footballs into a giant can. The winner will get $100,000 for college tuition.

There are three Holiday Bowl parking lots available nearest to Petco Park on game day. The first is at the Lexus Premier Lot at the corner of Imperial Avenue and Park Boulevard next to the Metropolitan Transit System garage. Parking there is $55. The Padres Parkade at the corner of Tenth Avenue and K Street is available for $50. The third lot is the Tailgate Park, located between 12th Avenue and 14th Avenue, K Street and Imperial Avenue; parking there is $50.Parking spots at all three lots can be purchased through ticketmaster.com.

All three MTS trolley lines go to Petco Park. The Green Line exit is at the Gaslamp Quarter station, on the west side of Petco Park. The Blue and Orange lines exit is the 12th and Imperial station, on the east side of the park.

Wednesday marks the second time the Holiday Bowl will be played at Petco Park. Holiday Bowl and Padres officials signed a five-year deal in June 2021. Before that, the game was played at Qualcomm Stadium.
