Indonesian Language Teaching Assistant (ILTA) 2015
The Embassy of
Indonesia and ACT Education and Training Directorate open the opportunity for
Indonesian students who are currently registered as a Masters or PhD student at
one of Canberra’s universities. The
successful candidates will be placed in ACT public schools as Indonesia
Language Teaching Assistants to support the teaching of Indonesian language in
Canberra.
Selection Criteria:
1.
Interested
in Indonesia Language and Culture
2.
Applicants
must be Master or PhD students in their first or second year of study (for Master)
and /or first, second or third year of study (for PhD ) at one of Canberra’s
universities
3.
Applicants
must be available for Term 2 and Term 3 2015 (20 weeks-10 weeks per school term)
4.
Applicant
must provide proof of current university enrollment status
5.
Applicant
must demonstrate strong English Communication skills
6.
Applicant will
be required to submit an application form and CV. Successful applicant must
complete and obtain Working with Vulnerable People registration from ACT Office
of Regulatory Service before commencing placement in a school. Note. The cost will be covered by Indonesian
Embassy
7.
Successful
candidate will work a maximum of 6 hours per week.
8.
The ILTA
will comply with the Directorate’s volunteers and visitor policy
9.
The ILTA
will comply with the Code of Conduct for Volunteers and Visitors.

Closing date : 20 February 2015
Interview : beginning the week of 23 February 2015
Finalize Selection : Early March 2015
Orientation session for
Successful applicants
: before 10 April 2015
Program Commencement :
beginning the week of 27 April 2015 (Week 1, Term 2 of ACT School term)
