Hello Lisa!

I think this is definitely worth bringing up on Loomio. Do you need an
invitation there?

Since (at least) MrZYX and I are both students, too, I think it would be
important to know when exactly it would be taking place, so we could plan
accordingly.

About possible areas of work - we've had a few bigger points on our list, that
keep getting requested and would require desperate attention. It should be
possible to complete them in a few months, given some basic Rails knowledge:

* (REST) API
* separation of federation into a layer
* "seed migration" - moving your account to another server
* more useful admin backend
* ...

And, of course, non coding-related stuff like:

* writing/updating documentation
* making how-to videos
* ...

Anyway, I am sure, if we talk this through, we could come up with a way to
make this happen.

I think this is a great idea for a lot of reasons. One thing to consider is the scope of these projects. I believe scoping the projects
for the participants so that something meaningful can be completed would contribute to the success of such an effort
