Hi Dan!

The Ubuntu-specific portions of our wiki [1] include instructions for Ubuntu
up to version 12.04.
In case you want to try a newer version, there is probably not all that much
difference, and you're welcome to add the specifics to the wiki once you're
done.

As a rule of thumb, you can assume that you might run into trouble installing
on a distribution that's much older than 2 years.

Good luck ;)

Hey,

12.10 and 13.04 are totally ok too - have tested and nothing special needs to be done. The new wiki also mentions these. Of course for a production pod 12.04 is a great versions since it's LTS - but for development just install on whatever you have :)

Hey Jason.
Not to be stupid, but what is LTS?
:)
Thanks

LTS = Long Term Support :)

It means it will be supported fully with updates for 5 years and thus is the best choice for a production environment. Other Ubuntu releases are supported for 9 months only.

Thanks for the responses.
And for mentioning the new wiki.
I was wondering where all the info was.
:)
