Hi Julia,

Thanks for showing interest in our project!
Feel free to check out our discussion on Loomio about this: https://www.loomio.org/discussions/3625

Hope to see you around!

Hello everyone,

i want to participate in the Rails Girls Summer of Code (http://railsgirlsberlin.github.io/summer-of-code/), which is similar to the Google Summer of Code - only that it focuses on helping coding starters in contributing to open source.

For the project I am looking for someone coaching me in Rails and/or mentoring me about contributing to the diaspora project. I especially look for someone I could meet up with in Germany (preferably Berlin), but every other help is welcome :).

Let me know if you have a question or your interested in helping me.

Thanks!

Hey Julia!

I got some for you ;)
Christophe and Paul are both Berlin-based and interested in coaching!
Christophe is podmin of wk3.org and Paul is a professional Ruby developer at local start-up.
I talked to them and they would coach together (two coaches for more time for the student :D).

Best you get in touch with Christophe first, chris...@wk3.org (e-mail and Diaspora handle).

So great that you want to participate in Rails Girls SoC and Diaspora :)
