Diaspora is not yet compatible with ruby 2.0, you have to use 1.9.2 or 1.9.3 (recommended).

I installed Ruby 2.0.0p0 (2013-02-24 revision 39474).  When I run bundle install I get this error:

Installing configurate (0.0.2)
Gem::InstallError: configurate requires Ruby version ~> 1.9.2.
An error occurred while installing configurate (0.0.2), and Bundler cannot continue.
Make sure that `gem install configurate -v '0.0.2'` succeeds before bundling.

Do I need to downgrade to Ruby 1.9.2 or is there a way around this?

Thanks,

Alex

Jonne:

state "The Ruby programming language. ( 1.9.2 or later)."  That is why I installed the lastest.  Is there a way to submit suggested changes to that page?

Thanks,

Alex

We would recommend you use 1.9.3 with Diaspora. :)

Hey Alex,

If you update the wiki, please update the new wiki that will soon replace the old one: http://wiki.diaspora-project.org/wiki/Notes_On_Installing_and_Running_Diaspora
