DIANE 2.4 has been released (27/05/2011)

Main features:

- output of commands is now less verbose by default (internally
logging at USER level)

- master logs:
- full log of the master is now stored in the run directory
(master.log)
- normal output is additionally stored in master.stdouterr file

- worker logs:
- added worker.log in DEBUG mode, normal output in USER mode

- added new diane-submitter command to ease management and use of
submitter scripts

- submitters scripts:
- new LocalMultinodeSubmitter.py: multiple worker agents spawned by
ssh in a worker node cluster (example)
- new RemoteSubmmitter.py
- updated SAGASubmitter.py with mutli-node capability via
$PBS_NODEFILE
- updated LSFSubmitter.py with extraopts

- applications:
- ExecutableApplication: try to upload as many files as
possible if the application fails, for the case when application
succeeds there is a new policy setting which decides if missing
output
(failed upload) is allowed
- new diane/apps/CachingExecutable (in SVN but not part of the
release)
it is an extension of ExecutableApplication which allows to cache
large
input files in a shared filesystem space of the worker nodes

- added a possibility to specify multiple authorized directories at
the file server (FileTransferServer.setAuthorizedDirs())

- fixed msg server for monitoring (ganga.msg.cern.ch:6163) and use
dummy username/password (for accounting)

- introduced two special platform strings:
- DEFAULT indicates a best-guess default binary (in case platform is
not recognized)
- NOPLATF indicates that binary dependencies are not needed (if you
have a system with preinstalled omniORB libs)

- changed format of the platform string (align with LCG external
software policies, applying latest SPI convention amd64->x86_64,
revered arch/dist order): x86_64-slc5-gcc43-py25

- upgraded to omniORB version 1.5
- upgraded to stomputil 2.4

- default platform is now: SLC5
