Our apartment came with free Spectrum TV and internet, while scrolling through the on demand movies I saw some interesting titles, some really good titles which I would rewatch anytime (Independence Day, Battleship, Martian), I thought wouldn't it be great if spectrum had a ratings column to identify the best ones sorted on ratings and their expiry date, umm....
So that's what I set out to do for the rest of my evening to get a list of the free on demand spectrum TV movies and make a pandas dataframe with the movie titles, respective IMDB ratings, spectrum expiry date, movie released year and a link to the trailer
Making API calls: I used the unofficial imdb movie database through rapidAPI for getting the movie ratings and other features related to the titles. First step was to get the movie ids with the spectrum movie titles we have from spectrum and the second step was to get the movie features of the respective movie ids
