Job Title: Healthcare Project Manager

Location: Nashville, TN

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Rate: $45/hr on C2C

Job Description: 

The ideal candidate will be proficient in IT project management, especially for state government projects. They will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to interact with client partners to deliver their business area projects. They will also be able to create plans and monitor multiple simultaneous projects to keep them on track and execute with high productivity. The individual must have high quality standards, be able to work within established processes, and have strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provides leadership for a team of individual contributors in a matrix reporting environment 
  
• Manages deliverable, schedules, and/or costs for multiple ongoing projects of various sizes (waterfall and Agile/SCRUM), ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met 
  
• Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers and relevant stakeholders 
  
• Manages relationships with partners and customers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating 
  

Required Skills:

• First level university degree 
  
• Minimum 5 years project management or related work experience 
  
• PMP and/or CSM certifications required 
  
• Knowledge and Skills 
  
• Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution 
  
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills 
  
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills 
  
• 1 to 2 years of experience working with state or local government clients is desirable 
  
• 1 to 2 years of experience managing Medicaid or healthcare projects is desirable 
  
• Proficiency with MS Project and MSPS, HP Agile Manager or similar project management tools 
  
• Prior experience with software development projects utilizing workflow engines and/or rules engines and/or web services/SOA technologies.
