Job Title: QA Tester

Location: Cranston, RI

Duration: 9 Months Contract

Responsibilities: 

• Test software new releases, fixes and application enhancements 
  
• Test changes to business process, work flow and documentation 
  
• Performing functional, usability, user acceptance and performance (load and stress) testing 
  
• Review requirements and design documentation in order to design and document test plans and test case specifications 
  
• Evaluate documentation to ensure adherence to QA methodology and standards 
  
• Assist in decomposing high-level requirements identified in project documentation into testable detailed requirements 
  
• Evaluate, document and report test results and defect status 
  
• Use independent judgment in analyzing defect data to interpret and present conclusions to management and team members with specific recommendations 
  
• Maintain requirements traceability from use case through test script, defect tracking, and resolution 
  
• Promote testing and quality software development practices throughout the software development / configuration life cycle 
  
• Consults with team members and other organizations, clients and vendors on complex issues 
  

Required Skills: 

• 5-7 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance / Tester 
  
• Experience with Agile Scrum 
  
• Experience with automated testing toolsets 
  
• Experience managing off-shore resources 
  
• Expert in all phases of QA / Testing life cycle 
  
• Knowledgeable in formalized QA / Testing strategy, processes, methodologies and standards 
  
• Familiar with Agile frameworks and testing process implications 
  
• Able to clearly articulate complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences 
  
• Demonstrated strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty
