When Resilient Lady Launched in 2023, Razzle Dazzle debuted its new menu concept, changing from a vegetarian-forward menu to an American comfort menu. You can still find vegetarian options here, but there are now more meat options than before.

This site has them in easy to read format. -voyages-restaurant-guide-with-menus/ It is missing the B menu in test kitchen and the prices on some of the "treat yourself" items have changed. Other than that, it was up to date as of November 2022. (2 months ago.)

We have had the amazing experience of sailing with Virgin Voyages four times since they launched, three times on Scarlet Lady and once on Valiant Lady. If you aren't familiar with Virgin Voyages yet, here is how they describes their cruise line:

This cruise line is pretty accommodating of vegans - in fact, they have menu options labeled vegan/vegetarian at nearly every restaurant. The purpose of this post is to provide all the information about vegan food options on board that we were able to gather on two cruises on Scarlet Lady and one on Valiant Lady (there were some small differences between the two ships). Some options have changed over time, so the post has been updated. We have also noted below where things were different on Valiant Lady compared to Scarlet.

We had an incredible time on this cruise and the food was outstanding - you will not go hungry on this cruise! We will definitely be going back. If you like this guide and decide to book Virgin Voyages, please consider booking with our agency using the link below.

This guide includes an overview of the vegan options on Virgin Voyages restaurant menus, information about the Ship Eats delivery service and my favorite vegan meals that are not listed on any Virgin Voyages menus.

Vegan food is available at every eatery: As mentioned above, every restaurant has something for vegans, even if the menu says otherwise. I believe the same is true for gluten free options and other diets.

Virgin Voyages ships have six restaurants that require reservations. However, you can also show up and see if they can seat you. My husband and I could usually get a seat if we showed up for dinner around 6pm.

Extra Virgin Menu Vegan Options: Fluffy vegan focaccia with olive oil and balsamic, Crispy artichoke (served with a vegan pesto instead of the caper aioli), wholesome Ribollita soup (served without cheese), Brussel sprout chile polenta with hazelnuts, and pasta with red sauce.

Extra Virgin Dining Experience: The restaurant space feels like a mix between a hole-in-the-wall Italian spot and an elevated restaurant. The atmosphere is joyful and relaxing. The staff were very happy to make a delicious vegan dinner.

Gunbae Menu Vegan Options: Kimchi and mung bean pancake, freshly grilled oyster mushrooms and other veggies, seaweed salad, vegan bibimbap (without egg), and japchae stir fried noodles (without egg).

Razzle Dazzle Menu Vegan Options (Dinner): Mushroom tartare, nutty gazpacho, whole roasted heirloom cauliflower, Impossible burger, fries, blistered shishito peppers, and more if you get creative.

Sun Club Cafe Menu: Oyster mushroom bao with pickled vegetables and peanut sauce (my experience on the Valiant Lady). Ahimi quinoa mushroom bowl (according to the Virgin Voyages app).

The Social Club is a fun part of the ship with tons of board games, an arcade, a foosball table, two air hockey tables, and other games. The menu is limited, but includes a vegan hot dog (Beyond Beef Sausage) with a vegan sauce, bun, and jalapeos.

Even though the vegan options at the Dock House were limited (or nonexistent), it was still a great hang-out spot with comfy seating, good vibes, and a more chill crowd than in other areas of the ship. During my cruise, the bar at the Dock House and a few other bars offered a selection of complimentary drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) each day from 4-5pm.

Beach Club at Bimini Menu (Plant-Based Options): Vegan West Indian pumpkin curry (not super flavorful, but not terrible), rice and beans (honestly our favorite after getting so little protein on the cruise), grilled corn (order without the mayo), tropical fruit salad, salad, and crispy cassava with spicy mango mustard. Please note that the watermelon and jicama is not vegan.

Valiant's: A Modern Plant-Based Eatery!

Valiant's was an award winning restaurant on a mission to change peoples perceptions of what good food is. When we launched Valiant's, we also launched Field Grown Foods, our amazing line of Vegan Meats. And while the restaurant has now closed, we still ship our Field Grown Meat products across Canada!

We really like this product. The flavour is great, the texture is normal seiten. The slices are tricky to separate without breaking, but using a knife, slowly with patients I was able to keep them intact. Very small inconvenience for a great product. I think they'll make great bacon bits, but they disappeared too quickly!! ? Must order more!

Always so delicious and the portions are amazing!! They're so easy and quick to heat up, perfect for a busy lifestyle! The instructions are straight forward and the meals are so unique and delicious! I'm obsessed with these meal boxes

Delicious! Affordable! Amazing! You must buy this if you are plant based and even if you aren't. Nothing can compare to the time the chef's took to curate this delicious menu with quality ingredients at such a great value

Other dishes were being plated and made ready for service at one of the two bar areas. I was really impressed at the precision being shown to get every ingredient in the right place, even if it meant delicately placing it with a pair of tweezers.

As each new course came out, a cocktail joined it. I enjoyed seeing how the cocktails complemented the courses being served, something light and zestful to offset a rich dish or something sweeter to cut through a tart course. It was very smart menu/mixology design.

With a whoosh, the covers were removed and the smoke revealed a really interesting pea and egg yolk dish (opinions are universally mixed about this dish in all the Virgin Voyages groups). I liked the dish because it photographed incredibly well.

Plating aside, the meat was flavorful and not gamy at all (always my test with venison). The mains were served with a beautiful potato dish with thin slices of potato laid on its side that reminded me of a mille-feuille of sorts.

Part of the fun of Virgin Voyages is seeing the crew of the ship out and about and getting to know them a bit. I had been introduced to the food and beverage manager as well as the manager of Test Kitchen by a friend who wanted me to show them my photos from the first menu. They loved the pictures and were even pointing out how things should have been plated differently and things like that.

The manager of Test Kitchen invited me to come back to take pictures of the second menu as well on my next cruise and I happily took him up on the offer. Super nice guy and he and I walked around the restaurant so I could tell him where I wanted to sit for the best photography lighting. I needed one of the biggest tables he had because the light was so perfect and he made it happen for me!

By this point, both my waitress and the manager were getting into the swing of things and came up with ways of making each picture look the best it could. We all were laughing and having a great time and, to their credit, the things they thought of ended up helping a lot!

It was time for the mains. Since I wanted to show all of the options they had, I looked like Gorging Fat Guy instead of Food Photoshoot Guy for a minute. The mains were very vibrant but in a different color palette than the first menu.

From what they said, the sorbet (with a little bit of candied ginger on top) received bipolar reviews, but I loved it. The ice in the sorbet gave it a texture that countered the rich flavor of the asparagus.
